According to The Blast, Lee Daniels didn’t necessarily give a direct answer, regarding Jussie’s fate as “Jamal Lyon.” Don’t get it twisted though, his duckin’ and dodging of the questions, still made one thing crystal clear- he is not ridin’ for Jussie like he was once was. Smart move on Lee’s part.

Lee On Jussie’s fate on Empire…
When asked “Will Jussie be on the next season of “Empire?” Lee said:

“That’s a conversation we’re having right now.”

That clearly means it has yet to be determined whether or not “Jamal Lyon” will be making some mysterious return back to the Lyon family, from wherever they’re going to send him off to on this season of the show.

When Lee was asked if he felt “scammed” by Jussie’s allegedly staged “attack” hoax, Lee could have taken that opportunity to stand up for Jussie, but he didn’t (understandably so). Instead, he simply dodged the question with this response:

“There are two judges: God and that man in the robe. So I can’t judge.”

He Reveals Cast Member’s Pain…
During a Tuesday interview on Extra, Daniels softened his tune a tad bit, by saying that he still sees Jamal like his “son,” however, the cast is still “hurt” by his alleged actions:

“The cast is upset, it is a sad time and we are slowly healing,” he said, adding, “What I am learning right now is I can’t judge, that that judgement is for that man wearing that black coat with gavel and God. I can only support him because he is like my son, he is my son, so I am with him, I can only support him and give him compassion.”

There is one person still standing with Jussie – his big brother, JoJo, who’s currently defending Jussie’s side of the “attack” story. Read about that HERE.
