Screen Shot 2016-09-11 at 5.33.44 PMWe’ve just learned that Lisa Raye and her sister/rapper/radio personality, Da Brat (yes, they are real biological sisters), are about to get a new family member, so we’re wishing them a big congrats! Lisa Raye, who turns 50 on Sept. 23rd, is gonna become a grandmother for the first time and Da Brat will be a great-aunt. Who would have ever imagined “Diamond” from “The Player’s Club” as ‘Grandma Diamond’?!! I’ll be damned! That’s a beautiful thing though.

Lisa’s twenty-something year old daughter, Kai Morae, surprised everyone when she posted her VERY pregnant photo (shown above) to Instagram on Saturday (9-10-16), announcing the upcoming birth of she and her boyfriend’s little girl. Kai’s caption:

“Gifts given from above and made with love are always the best💞 Can’t wait to meet our little princess 👑👶🏽🎀’

That explains why in the past few months Kai’s Instagram photos have been kind of scarce and when she did post something on IG, it would only be most close-up pics and such. Can’t say that I blame her though, because sometimes it’s cool to just enjoy certain details of your life away from the ‘Gram and social media altogether.

Lisa Raye and Kai are extremely close and they also have a really tight relationship with Da Brat (whom shares the same father with Lisa), so Kai’s lil’ princess is gonna be showered with lots of love I’m sure.

We wish Kai Morae and her boyfriend a happy, healthy pregnancy and we can’t wait to see “Diamond’s” grandbaby when she makes her entrance into this world. Here’s another pic of the soon-to-be-parents…

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
