After Lots Of Chatter, Taraji Henson Blasts Back With Response To Pregnancy Claims
For Mother’s Day, Taraji P. Henson received quite a surprise when her man, Kelvin Hayden popped the big question. Needless to say, Taraji was absolutely elated when the NFL baller decided to take their relationship to the next level. But since the announcement of their engagement, Taraji and Kelvin have kept their wedding details under wraps. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. In fact, there’s a new rumor going around about the couple and fans have been dying to know if it’s true or not.
Baby On Board?:
If you haven’t heard the latest about Taraji, there’s a rumor circulating about her being pregnant. Since Taraji is engaged to be married, it would be pretty typical if she were, right? Well, there’s just one problem with all the talk: Taraji’s not pregnant. Now, she’s finally speaking out about the rumors that have been spread and she’s explaining why people can stop talkin’ about her gettin’ pregnant.
Taraji Claps Back:
Although most fans think a new baby would be the icing on the cake for Taraji and Kelvin, she’s makin’ it very clear there is no baby right now. When the Empire star appeared on Extra TV, she was asked about the baby rumors and she immediately shut them down.
“I am not pregnant, ya’ll, please cut it out.” After clearing the air, Taraji went a step further to explain how the rumor started. Apparently, the chatter began after the couple shared a questionable photo that captured Kelvin touching his fiancee’s stomach.
After the photo began circulating, it didn’t take long for the rumors to take off. She admitted she found the rumor laughable. Referencing a quote from one of the reports Taraji said, “Her fiancé kept coddling her and holding her.” She added, “So that makes me pregnant? He does that to me all the time.”
Reports also surfaced about Taraji drinking around the time of the U.S. Open. While some news outlets claimed she wasn’t drinking alcohol because of the so-called “pregnancy,” she’s set the record straight on that too. Taraji confirmed she did have alcohol; another indication that she’s not pregnant. “I was drinking a wine spritzer so yes, there was alcohol — I was just pacing myself.”
Now that Taraji has shut down the rumors, there’s a new question looming: will a baby be next on their agenda after they officially tie the knot?
Taraji quickly shut down that idea, as well. For those who don’t know, Taraji has a 24-year-old son and Kelvin also has three children. Since they both have children from previous relationships, they agree that’s enough. The famed actress revealed Kelvin’s children are still relatively young so that’s more than enough for them.
“No, we’re done.,” she confirmed. “He still has three little ones that aren’t teenagers yet. We’re good.”
She went on to discuss their upcoming wedding. Taraji didn’t offer a specific date but she did reveal they’re planning a “simple” wedding next summer. The wedding will reportedly be “one year from when he proposed — late June, early July.”
She continued, “As for the wedding location, it’s probably gonna be home, somewhere with his family and my family, a nice meeting ground where everyone can get to… We’ll find some mutual ground.”
