We Love It: Barack And Michelle Obama Send Handwritten Note On Jennifer Lopez’s Engagement

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez got engaged earlier this month and announced the news with a post on Instagram showing off the massive rock.

“She said yes,” Rodriguez said in a post showing JLo’s hand, now bearing a huge engagement ring. Whereas JLo simply posted several hearts to accompany the announcement.

The “Jenny From The Block” singer recently opened up about her engagement to the former Yankees player to People magazine, telling the publication the couple has “an appreciation for where we are in our lives today.”

“And that’s what we’re enjoying the most,” she added.

On Friday morning, the retired New York Yankees player, 43, shared a photo of the thoughtful, handwritten notethis link opens in a new tab Obama, 57, sent the couple, congratulating them on their big news.

Our favorite chief-in-command went on to share a piece of advice with the couple, writing:

“Jennifer and Alex,” the note read. “Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama.”

Alongside the photo of the sweet gesture, Rodriguez wrote, “This means the world to us.”
