‘P Don’t Get His Credit, Man,’ Nipsey Stated…

Percy “Master P” Miller knows the ins and outs of being independent. It truly removes all limits and barriers — further making sense that he’d name his label No Limit Records.

Hussle understood Master P’s contribution to the game and developed a close mentor/mentee relationship with him.

In an interview with Billboard, Nipsey stated that Miller doesn’t get the respect and recognition he should, especially given the fact that he greatly helped pave the way for independent labels.

You didn’t have to see the back and see the logo — you could see the artwork and know it’s a No Limit release,” Nipsey Hussle mentioned. “They branded an image. Master P was an innovator in so many different ways. Puff gets his credit. Dame and Jay get their credit. Ruff Ryders, Irv Gotti, and Chris Gotti, they get their credit. P don’t get his credit, man.

According to Complex, Nipsey mentioned that his own crew was basically the “No Limit” of the West Coast.
