  1. Ronnie DeVoe’s rap in BBD’s Hit, “Do Me Baby,” was actually written by Busta Rhymes. Busta didn’t necessarily write it for Ronnie, Ronnie just kinda borrowed it. Busta actually appreciated him jacking his lines at that time though because Busta was still a fairly underground rapper trying to get on. (32:30 video mark)
  2. Bivins doesn’t necessarily like that New Edition, in his opinion, didn’t get the same respect on radio that other groups who they clearly influenced did, such as TLC, New Kids on the Block, N’Sync and others. (7:30 video mark)
  3. Biv said that he made sure to be careful with his money because he knew that on any given day if Ralph or Bobby decided they wanted to solely pursue a solo career, he would be left out in the cold and broke. (15:00 video mark)
  4. Michael didn’t want to do the group BBD at first because neither himself, Ronnie, or Ricky were ever considered the true singers of the group, so he didn’t think it would work. But it was producer Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who talked him into it and mad him see the potential…Jam even came up with their name. (16:00 video mark)
  5. Their choreographer (who is also Ronnie DeVoe’s uncle) is responsible for bringing new edition together as kids and it’s his dance routines and vision that is the backbone of N.E.
  6. He hates the lack of radio spins New Edition gets and he says ageism is the reason, which is something he says only seems to exist in R&B and hip hop. (11:00 video mark)
