One thing we’ve learned about the talented, controversial comedian, Katt Williams, is that he seems to always find a way to earn himself a prison stay. This time he’s facing months in jail, after just getting officially charged for clockin’ a woman smack dab in her face last month. Here are the details of what the court has just decided to do with Williams via TMZ:

Katt Williams officially has a new legal battle on his hands, now that the L.A. City Attorney is charging him with misdemeanor battery for allegedly punching a woman … TMZ has learned. Williams was arrested at Sportsmen’s Lodge restaurant in Studio City after a female employee accused him of attacking her. Law enforcement sources say it all started when Katt felt disrespected at how the woman was speaking to him.

We’re told when cops arrived, they noticed visible minor injuries on the woman and cuffed him. Katt’s heard this before — many times — but if convicted, he faces up to 6 months in jail.We reached out to Katt … so far, no word back.

Katt Wiliams has long been rumored to have bipolar, schizophrenia, etc. and some close to him have stated that he oftentimes doesn’t take his medication, which then causes his erratic behavior…but Katt has never actually confirmed, nor denied those allegations. Whatever the problem is, we just hope Katt can get it together soon, because it would be a shame for all that talent to go to waste.

– November 9, 2012, a lawsuit was filed in the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles which alleges that on October 6, 2012 Williams hit his former assistant.

– November 15, 2012, he was arrested in Oakland, California on charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly beating an 18-year-old Berkeley, California man with a bottle aboard Williams’ tour bus.

– December 2, 2012, he was arrested in Seattle after he allegedly got into a dispute at a bar in South Lake Union.

– December 28, 2012, Williams was arrested in Los Angeles on child endangerment charges.

– January 8, 2013, he was arrested at his LA home after failing to appear in Sacramento to answer the November 25 motorbike charges.
