O.J. Simpson Just Won Court Battle Against Goldman Family & Here’s Why…

Posted On : January 30, 2018

O.J. is probably toastin’ it up today – y’all know O.J. loves to get his drink on and we’re not talking about ‘juice’ either. Anyways, why is he probably celebrating? Because he’s just had a small victory in court against the late Ron Goldman’s father, Fred Goldman, early Tuesday (1-30-18) -a victory O.J.’s been hoping for.

Why Goldman Fam’ Sued O.J.

As we all know, O.J.’s late ex-wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, were brutally murdered in 1994 and O.J. was found not guilty of doing the crime. But as we previously reported, the Goldman family sued and won a wrongful death civil lawsuit against O.J. shortly after his murder trial acquittal. The amount O.J. now owes has swollen up to somewhere between $70-$100 million after interest accumulated, because he has not paid the Goldmans a dime yet.

Fast forward to now and Fred Goldman recently filed legal docs, requesting that the judge allow them to collect any profits earned from autographed O.J. sports memorabilia. They’re request came after O.J. was photographed in a Las Vegas hotel room, reportedly signing a bunch of his old college and NFL memorabilia presumably for a profit.

Judge Rules In Favor Of O.J. & Here’s Why

As of Tuesday, the judge has finally made an official ruling on Fred Goldman’s legal request and the answer was ‘No.’ Therefore, Fred will not be getting any paper from O.J. in that way and the judge explained why.

According to new reports, Fred Goldman made the mistake of requesting that ‘anyone’ who profits from O.J.’s autographed sports memorabilia be forced to pay those profits to the Goldman fam.’ However, the judge reportedly pointed out that if Fred Goldman would’ve named specific people in his request, then he would have possibly gotten a ruling in his favor instead.

Given Fred Goldman’s and O.J.’s history of disdain for one another, pretty sure Mr. Goldman will possibly be right back in court with a new filing against O.J. in the near future.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
