Paternity Results Are In For Keshia Knight & Now It Gets Ugly

Posted On : February 22, 2017

The long awaited paternity tests for baby Ella Grace are finally in and Keshia Knight Pulliam and her soon-to-be-ex-hubby, Ed Hartwell, are at it again!

ED BE THE PAPPY!

According to TMZ, it looks like our man, Ed, has finally accepted responsibility that he’s the father of Keshia’s daughter, after the paternity tests he’d asked for came back with that Maury Povich stamp on it- ‘Ed, you ARE the father.’ Okay, maybe it wasn’t quite worded that way, but envisioning that in Maury’s voice just now, put that extra stank on it, LOL. Anyways, although Ed has accepted their daughter, the former NFL linebacker isn’t quite ready to tackle that whole child support situation just yet…there’s more…

HOL’ UP JUDGE…ABOUT THOSE CHILD SUPPORT CHECKS

Apparently Ed is currently contesting paying child support…temporarily and he cited his reasons in newly filed court documents in his pending divorce from his former Cosby Show wife, just as results from his paternity test proved paternity.

Interestingly, Ed Hartwell feels that he shouldn’t be financially responsible until the court decides exactly how much he should pay in child support.

However, because he isn’t paying child support just yet, Keshia asked the judge for emergency funds.

In the documents, obtained by TMZ, Hartwell claims he’s not buying Keshia’s claim that she needs emergency financial support, because they both are financially stable.

Hartwell also wants the court to consider the money that he spent setting up the nursery for baby Ella at his place. This is getting messy…and weird!

ED

Ed, the baby is yours now…it’s a done da-da! Whether you and your baby momma, Keshia, like each other or not, you’re ‘stuck like chuck’ with each other for 18 years, might as well learn to deal with it bruh. There’s nothing left to question, Ella needs pampers, pacifiers, and what-not, so court ordered or not, flip that wallet open and start making it rain your baby momma’s way.

Meanwhile back at the ranch…Keshia seems to be adjusting quite well to motherhood based on her Instagram posts about her new life as a mommy with her adorable mini-me, Ella Grace. HOWEVER…

Ms. Pulliam doesn’t get off scot-free either. We gotta be real, she played a role in this as well. Let’s not forget that soon after Keshia and her former fiancee’, Big Tigger, broke up, Ed and Keshia jumped the broom after just four months of dating…

So it’s safe to say that she probably didn’t know Ed well enough before marrying him and simply moved too fast. Not saying that marriage after four months couldn’t work, but the chances are a lot slimmer that they will, versus getting to know your mate for a longer period of time first. In Keshia’s case, she moved quick and got a dud. That’s not a diss to Ed, he may be perfect for someone else, but in this marriage they were both duds for each other, based on what they seemed to have wanted/expected…

And for the record, Ed admitted, to PageSix, that he views their marriage the same way:

Ed Hartwell on Keshia K. Pulliam: “She wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that — from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people — that when you first get married, especially since we didn’t have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. That’s something she really did want to do.” Eventually realizing they weren’t compatible Ed says he told Keshia 2 months after marriage, “I said, ‘I think we probably messed up. I think we moved too fast.'”

Ah well, we live and we learn. At the end of this long, grueling pregnancy/marriage/divorce saga, there is a beautiful, precious blessing that came out of all of it, and that is and will forever be their happy, healthy little one, Ella Grace Hartwell…
