Phylicia Rashad’s Daughter Shows Her Major Love After The Beautiful Honor She’s Just Earned
Here at ILOSM, we love us some Phylicia Rashad a.k.a. “Claire Huxtable” a.k.a. “Diana Dubois”- the classy cutthroat mama on Empire. Though we all know Ms. Rashad for the countless roles she’s portrayed throughout the years, her daughter knows her simply as, “Mommy,” the woman she looks up to the most and the icon she’s just praised for the degree she’s just earned.
A while back, we featured actress, Condola Rashad, daughter of Phylicia and her ex-husband/NFL legend, Ahmad Rashad (who’s now in an interracial marriage with his young wife…we’ll get to them in a sec’).
In a recent online homage, Condola gave her mom all the praise, revealing that Phylicia Rashad is now a ‘doctor.’ That’s right, he former Cosby Show star has just received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina. Words truly cannot express how very proud I am because today, the day before Mother’s day, my dear mother has received an honorary doctorate degree in Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina for her work on television, stage and film as an actress and a director and also for her contribution to arts education and commitment to public service!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ Watch out now, she’s a Dr. y’all.
