Many of us will never forget Vincent’s roles that he’s most known for. So while we send our sincerest condolences to Frank’s loved ones, we’ll take a moment to reminisce about some of his classic characters.

In Do The Right Thing, many of us first became fans of Frank Vincent after he played the angry cat who was driving the souped up Caddy down a Brooklyn block. His character’s name was “Charlie,” who got sprayed by the fire hydrant’s water during a summer block party in the film. Check out that scene here…

And of course we can’t forget about how he played “Billy Batts” in Goodfellas, the hardcore mafia dude who ended up getting killed by his fellow comrades in crime…

Then he became a household name after playing his tough guy role, “Phil Leotardo,” in The Sopranos...

There were several other iconic gangster roles Frank Vincent brought to life like no other, including in the films, Casino and Raging Bull. However in real life, he will also be remembered as a very cool guy to be around. Rest peacefully Frank Vincent…gone but never forgotten.
