Looks like things just got real for R. Kelly. It’s just been reported, by the Chicago Sun Times, that R. Kelly has just been officially charged with 10 – yes TEN -counts of criminal sexual abuse in Chicago, IL. It was also reported that, ‘Cook County prosecutors were appearing before a judge Friday afternoon to sign off on an arrest warrant for Kelly.’

The “Seems Like You’re Ready” singer will be appearing in court on March 8, 2019, according to court records.

According to The Blast, ‘prosecuting attorney Michael Avenatti, will be holding a press conference Friday afternoon to address the charges against Kelly. After he was charged, Avenatti said, “After 25 years of serial sexual abuse and assault of underage girls, the day of reckoning for R Kelly has arrived.”’

If you recall, it was Avenatti, who delivered an alleged sex tape to Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, which prompted a grand jury to convene last week.

The sex tape allegedly shows R. Kelly having sex with an underaged girl, who’s deemed to be between the ages of 14 and 16 at that time. Unlike the grainy sex tape that was presented in his prior 2008 child sex trial- in which he was acquitted of all charges- this new alleged sex tape is said to be crystal clear. According to Avenatti, there are clear shots of R. Kelly’s face in the video.

It’s also being reported that the man in the video-allegedly R. Kelly- has a distinct mole on his back, just like R. Kelly reportedly has.

For the record, R. Kelly has repeatedly denied having sex with underaged girls.

On a side note, although I believe that every month is Black History Month, traditionally speaking, this has turned out to be one helluva ‘Black History Month.’ Jussie Smollett got fake attacked by 2 Nigerians posing as White racists; Jennifer Lopez performed the Grammy’s tribute to the first commercially successful African American record label ever- Motown Records; Motown icon, Smokey Robinson, called anyone who thought that J. Lo should not have performed the tribute “stupid” and ‘unintelligent’; Gucci released a ‘blackface’ sweater; Burberry released a ‘noose’ hoodie; Bill Cosby said prison is “an amazing experience”; and NOW, R. Kelly will put the icing on the cake if this latest child sex tape is really his.

Maybe ‘Black history’ have a better run next month ILOSM family…because again, in my opinion, every month is Black History month. Why? Because just like any other race in America, Black people have made historical feats every month of the year as well.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
