London-based Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana and his estranged wife, Janet Jackson.

Musical icon, Janet Jackson, has been pretty tight-lipped about why she chose to divorce her estranged husband,  London-based Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana. However, her older brother Randy Jackson, has opened up as to why Janet decided to leave her husband and the details may shock you.

Enough Is Enough:

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine, Janet Jackson’s older brother, Steven Randall “Randy” Jackson, has decided to open up and reveal the REAL reason why his sister’s marriage to Wissam didn’t work out. According to Randy, Janet was verbally abused by her husband and she allegedly felt like a prisoner. Like Randy, Janet, 51, has been through a lot with the man she loves, but it was too much to bear. Randy revealed that his sister is in pain.

“There’s a lot of pain. Janet’s been through a lot with her divorce. I’ve been through a lot, we all have,” says Randy, referring to Janet’s ongoing divorce and custody battle with Al Mana, 42.

Janet married her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana, in 2012.

At one point, Janet seemed so happy after she and Wissam tied the knot 2012. They even welcomed their son, Eissa, on January 3rd. Not too long after giving birth, Janet dropped a series of bombshells with her brother Randy by her side. The singer announced, via video, that she “put on quite a few” pounds since having her baby, that she was divorcing her husband, and that she was going back on tour.

“Yes, I separated from my husband,” the 51-year-old said during the clip posted to Twitter in April. She continued, “We are in court now and the rest is in God’s hands.”

While Janet kept it classy by choosing to keep the reasoning behind her divorce private, her brother Randy is singing like a canary..or better yet, like the Jackson 5. Randy claims that his sister’s life was hell being married to Wissam. Initially, there appeared to be no problems during their marriage. However, Randy claims the abuse occurred primarily while she was pregnant.

“It was quite an abusive situation,” Randy claims. “It came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a b*tch everyday. There were things like that. That’s what she went through.”

Randy Jackson has been by his sister’s side during her divorce.

Protective of his lil sis,’ Randy made it clear that the abuse that Janet endured was NOT physical. However, if need be, he had no problems putting hands on Al Mana. It’s not like he lives far away, Randy lives in London as well- not too far from Janet.

“I told her, ‘You’ve got to move in with me or I’m going to go over there and there’s going to be hell.’ She was really pissed off. I told her, ‘I don’t care anymore. I’m tired of it. It’s too much,’” he says.

Initially, Randy chose to keep the emotional abuse that Janet experienced private  from their parents because he didn’t want to alarm his them. Because they are such a big, close family, the secret was out eventually.

“I didn’t want them to know. My parents are up there in age, so I wanted to protect them as much as possible, but now they know. Everybody in the family knows.”

According to Randy, now that the secret is out, he wasn’t the only member of the large Jackson family to support Janet after her divorce.

“My mom and [sister] Rebbie came out [to London].”

Janet with her now estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana, who has been accused of verbally abusing her.

As for Wissam Al Mana, he released a statement in response to Randy’s shocking allegations. The businessman’s attorneys issued a statement saying he will not be responding to the “particular and deeply hurtful allegations.”

I wonder how Janet feels about her brother revealing her pain…….
