A few days ago, it was widely reported that Beyoncé showed great integrity when she stormed out of a business meeting with Reebok, due to their lack of diversity. Fast forward to today though, and Reebok’s people are speaking out, claiming that is a major fabrication of the facts.

Not sure if their side of the story is true, or if the brand is simply trying to save face and not get hit with the racist stamp that several other brands -like Gucci, Prada, Moncler, and others- have for their grotesque displays of racial ignorance. Nonetheless, check out what a Reebok spokesperson is now saying about that viral ‘Beyoncé walk out’ news:

“The report that Beyoncé walked out of a meeting with Reebok due to lack of diversity is categorically false. Our discussions with Beyoncé and her team continued for several months after our initial meeting. We are disappointed that false information is being reported as fact.”

As y’all can see, the Reebok spokesperson offered no real explanation as to why Bey’ actually did end that first face-to-face meeting with them, nor why she decided to walk away from the prospective deal altogether. At any rate, that’s Reebok’s side of things.

Check out the prior report, in case you didn’t catch it the first time…

The Initial Report About Beyonce’ Walking Out On Reebok

When it was initially reported that Bey’ pretty much told Reebok ‘peace out’ after suddenly walking out of their meeting, the news was shared by ESPN The Jump host, Rachel Nichols. It was reported that after discovering how NON-diverse Reebok’s corporate structure is, Beyoncé exited the building and went on over to Adidas instead.

Well, at least part of that claim has been proven, and not even Reebok can ‘debunk’ it- Beyoncé did recently ink a deal with Adidas, where she will be kickin’ off the re-launch of her Ivy Park clothing brand soon. Bloop!
