‘Remy’s’ Real Life Wife Is Proof He’s Nothing Like His Racist “Higher Learning” Character, Must See
ILOSM fam,’ remember how many of us wanted to punch the screen when Higher Learning character, “Remy” pulled a gun and told “Malik” (Omar Epps) and his roommate “F*ck all you damn Jews and N*ggers! … You’re a SLAVE! … I’ll make you my f**king MONKEY!”? The scene was heart wrenching and filled with emotion. Although that was just a movie, sadly as we’ve just seen with the Florida high school Valentine’s day massacre by Trump supporter/murderer, Nikolas Cruz, it’s a very real reality.
The bright spot in all of this though, is that the actor who played “Remy,” Michael Rapaport, must have been cringing every time he had to spew those hateful words for the greater good of the film. Why? Because one listen to his podcast, or his social media rants about Donald Trump and others like Trump, and it’s clear to see he does not share the same values as his Higher Learning character, “Remy.” And if that ain’t enough, all we have to do is check out his lovely wife and that will pretty much seal the deal that the dude has nothing against people of color.
Not that I would give a damn if Rapaport was racist or not, but since he isn’t, I thought we’d give the cat some shine on this one, because his real life is an even greater testament to the acting range he displayed in that 1995 classic film.
Meet His Wife
Because of the very convincing job he’d done as “Remy,” many were surprised when Michael Rapaport began dating his now wife, Kebe Dunn, years ago. Although she’s a beautiful woman, Rapaport also seemed to have a type and it was not Kebe, it was his prior wife of seven years, Nichole Beattie (m. 2000-2007)…
After Michael and Nichole divorced, he rekindled the love he had with Kebe in the 90’s, all over again in the 2000’s…
They were oftentimes spotted on red carpets and industry events together, but they finally decided to make their love official in 2016. And as you can see, Rapaport is still very in love with his wife after decades…
