In case y’all haven’t heard, Salt N’ Pepa are currently starring on a BET reality show, Ladies’ Night. Throughout the show, fans have now gotten an inside look of the dynamic between Pepa, Salt, and Spinderella, as well as the issues they have. In a nutshell, Pepa and Salt do not want Spin’ to reap the same financial benefits as them, since she did not start as an original member of the group and also because they feel that she is now ‘replaceable’ as their DJ.

Spinderella has also revealed that they’ve treated her like a second class citizen from the very start.

Quick history refresher: Salt N’ Pepa were formed by producer, Hurby “Luv Bug” Azor, in 1985. They let go the first ‘DJ Spinderella,’ Latoya Hanson, in 1986. By 1987, Diedre “Spinderella” Roper, joined the group and she’s been there ever since.

Fans Still Going Off On Them…

The aforementioned facts are why fans are heated with Pepa and Salt’s current treatment toward Spin. Now, whenever Salt N’ Pepa post anything on their social media page, fans quickly remind them they will not support, until they bring back Spinderella. Take for example their June 2019 post, when fans responded to Salt and Pepa’s question: “Chicago you ready? #mixtapetour #saltnpepa #girlswhatsmyweakness”

ghov****: Not without Spin ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

lyr****: Salt has a evil manipulative spirit

fomo****: Use to love you guys as a kid however the more I watch the ladies night show on BET. You guys are looking like real mean girls towards spindarella. I really hope these are some cut up scenes because your empowerment of women is looking & sounding like some BS. I really hope you guys get it together & I agree with spin you guys needed to go to counseling

mama_m****: Why y’all so mean and rude to her i thought Salt was all into God and church they treat Spin terribly in my opinion

keshor********: Watching the show change my whole outlook on the group. I wish I never watched it tonight…..What happen to empowerment? Just real nasty.. sad

sexygi*******: Not without SPIN #period

Spinderella Has BOLD Message For Everyone “Fu*k what you heard…”
Meanwhile, Spinderella, is making it known that she will not let her firing, destroy her life. That is evident in the June 25, 2019 post she shared to Instagram, with a caption that read:

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
