ILOSM family y’all may be surprised to know that NBA legend, Shaquille O’Neal, is not the only famous one in his family. His cousin became famous around the same time as Shaq and he really solidified his his name in 1992. This one might shock you, but see who he is below…

Shaq Has A Comedian In The Fam!’

Who knew, right? Comedian, Bill Bellamy, and Shaquille O’Neal are cousins!

Most of you probably remember when Bill first stepped onto the scene in 1992 and set the comedy world off, by popularizing the phrase, “booty call,” on “Def Comedy Jams.” That was hilarious! We also can’t forget about his roles in “Def Jam’s How To Be A Player,” “Love Jones,” and other roles throughout the late 90’s.

Although Shaq and Bill Bellamy seem very different- Bill was always known as the ‘sexy dude’ of comedy and Shaq was known as the superstar NBAer- they do have a few things in common. Obviously, the tall gene runs in their fam,’ Bill is 6’4″ and Shaq is 7’1″; and they both have a natural sense of humor.

Shaq and Bill are 7 years apart- Bill is 53 and Shaq is 46- and they apparently have a cool relationship. They even appeared in a 1998 Reebok commercial together, although damn near nobody knew they were actually cousins at that time.

Now this is completely off topic, but still interesting nonetheless: Speaking of Shaq, check out what he stated about Donald Trump, during his presidential campaign in 2016, that had many of his fans’ blood boiling…

SHAQUILLE ENDORSED TRUMP & DESPISED KAEPERNICK’S PROTEST

The year 2016 was quite a controversial and confusing year for Shaq and his many fans.
– Aug. 2016- He endorsed his ‘friend,’ Donald Trump, to the surprise of his Black and White fans alike…

– Sept. 2016 Shaq received a tremendous amount of backlash for stating on Fox News that he disagreed with NFL quarterback, Colin Kaepernick peacefully protesting the thousands of African Americans who are repeatedly being unjustly slaughtered by some (not all) police officers every year.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
