Snoop Dogg To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star
HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA — A legend in the rap game, Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus, Jr. is set to have his name chiseled into the famous sidewalk of American entertainment history.
According to Variety, Snoop will be honored on Monday, November 19, by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony will take place on the Hollywood Boulevard strip, and he’ll receive the 2,651st star to be awarded by the city.
While his award category is for “Recording,” Snoop Dogg is valued for his all-around, life-long accomplishments — including those outside of the entertainment industry, itself.
For instance, Ana Martinez — producer for the Hollywood Walk of Fame — states the following regarding the honoree:
“Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work. He is a man of the ages, and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
According to the Walk of Fame‘s official website, Jimmy Kimmel will be on-site to help honor the famed star — along with Leron Gubler (president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce), Dr. Dre, and Quincy Jones.

Not only is Snoop Dogg getting his star on the Walk of Fame, but he’s also celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut, classic album, Doggystyle. Originally, this album released in November 1993.

“Since 1993, Snoop Dogg has released 18 studio albums, sold over 40-million albums worldwide, reached No. 1 on Billboard charts internationally and received nearly 20 GRAMMY®nominations. With all the contributions Snoop has made to the industry, as well as the community through charities, foundations, and youth guidance, Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus, Jr. is more than deserving of this award and acknowledgement.
