After years of dating, Stevie Wonder is officially a married man. Over the weekend, the 67-year-old singer and his longtime girlfriend, Tomeeka Robyn Bracy, 42, tied the knot in during a lavish, intimate ceremony at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, CA. But the couple made sure to keep their big day private and their 160 guests were faced with a hefty cost to pay if they took photographs and released them to the media. According to The Jasmine Brand, Stevie and Tomeeka’s guests could have been hit with staggering fines if they didn’t adhere to a confidentiality agreement.

A Massive Six Figure Confidentiality Agreement?

Although guests were hit with the $1 million confidentiality agreement, family insiders still managed to share just a few details about the wedding. The person, who did not release their name briefly detailed the threatening agreement. “It’s not much I can say. Everyone, including family had to sign a confidentiality agreement that threatens a $1 million fine if you talked to the media. I cannot quite afford $1 million.”

Another insider also told People magazine about the beautiful ceremony. “It was a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was lavish and very romantic. There were celebrity guests, including John Legend,” the insider said. “Family is very important to Stevie and all of his kids were involved in the wedding.”

It has also been reported that John Legend performed Stevie’s classic hit, “Overjoyed” and the singer included a touching tribute to his late mother, Lula Hardaway, who passed in 2006. The family insider added, “He said a few words, looked up and said, Momma, you’d be proud, I got it right this time.”

A Long Time Coming:

Stevie and Tomeeka began dating back in 2012, shortly after he separated from his second wife, fashion designer Kai Millard Morris. He and Tomeeka now have two children together. His first marriage was to his late Motown label-mate, Syreeta Wright. Maybe third times the charm for Stevie. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. ‘Wonder!’

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
