ILOSM family, if you’re not familiar with Suge Knight’s son, ever since his dad was sentenced to 28 years in prison, Sugar Jr.’s been slowly becoming an Internet sensation in his own right. His newfound fame has been the result of his oftentimes controversial social media posts and interviews. He’s been very vocal about his anger, regarding his Pops new sentencing, as well as other things Suge-related. This time though, Suge Jr. took to social media to pay homage to New Edition’s Bobby Brown in an unexpected turn of events. He’s forever grateful for Bobby B. and he explained why below.

Why He Thanked Bobby Brown

Suge Jr. recently posted a thank you message, along with a photo of Bobby and Suge Knight back in the day. Many never knew that prior to becoming the multi-millionaire co-founder of Death Row Records, Suge worked as Bobby Brown’s bodyguard during his “My Prerogative” days. Suge Jr. explained why Bobby is responsible for the journey his dad carved after working for Bobby:

Suge Knight Jr.- “Sh*t if it wasn’t for Bobby Brown I wouldn’t be here. Before they labeled Big Suge as the ‘monster’, he was Bobby’s bodyguard before becoming The CEO of Death Row Records. They should’ve called him the protector because that’s what the man did. Thank you Bobby for creating a lane. 💯 #bobbybrown #sugeknight #YoOgCouldNever”

As we all know, when Bobby was at the height of his solo career in the 80’s, he developed a bit of a bad boy reputation. Even though he was the ‘bad boy of R&B,’ his connection to Suge still seemed to be an odd combination, given the many gangsta stories we’ve heard about Suge for decades. But as y’all can see, their partnership worked and the Death Row co-founder earned his keep in Bobby’s camp at that time.

Suge Jr.’s Odd Statements About Tupac Being Alive

In case y’all are wondering why Suge’s son is becoming known for being controversial, that’s because of his bold and/or strange statements he’s been spewing about everything, including Tupac. According to Suge Jr., his father’s late Death Row Records artist, ‘Pac, is still alive and living in Malaysia….and he’s partying with Beyonce’…

In a series of Instagram posts (some of which have been deleted), Suge Jr. shared a text message that appeared to imply a threat on his life for telling the “truth about ‘Pac.

He then posted a photo of the Las Vegas murder scene where ‘Pac was shot up and included a caption that read, “I know the truth behind this night..”

Suge Jr. didn’t stop there though, CapitalXtra also re-shared video footage that Suge Jr. says is a recent video of ‘Pac nowadays…in Malaysia somewhere…Laaawd. If you’re curious, check out the video below:

By the way, Suge’s son is NOT feelin’ Dogg Pound rapper, Daz Dillinger. Why? Well, it probably has something to do with the way Daz clowned his dad over the 28 year sentence he received. Therefore, days later, Suge Jr. posted video and photos, clowning Daz over his recent arrest on 13 felonies after law enforcement raided his home.

As you can see, being the son of Suge Knight appears to come with an automatic controversial gene that’s embedded somewhere deep within that brotha’s DNA.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
