Halle Berry’s ex-husband and former baseball player, David Justice, once let it rip on Twitter, because he said he was simply tired of Halle not stepping up to let the world know the ‘TRUTH.’

It’s been almost 24 years since they divorced and David has stayed relatively quiet on why they parted ways. However, in 2015, after hearing of Halle’s claims in her then pending divorce from her third husband of two years, Oliver Martinez, David said he had to say something. Why? Because not only does he want to set the record straight for his own children (with his current wife), he said he could not take the ‘false perceptions’ Halle tried to paint about the men in her life, in order to make herself look good.

David also claimed that Halle not only tried to ruin his life, but that she also did the same thing to her ex-husband/singer, Eric Benet, ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey, and her now ex-husband, Oliver Martinez.

David spoke out to defend his character. After he blasted a series of Tweets about his truth with Halle, even Eric Benet chimed in…

“Reading the latest Halle Berry Reports, it wasn’t me who hit Halle causing the ear damage. Halle has never said that I hit her. It was a former Hollywood boyfriend (WS) that she told me!”

And there’s more…

“When she first reported that she had been in abusive relationships, she wouldn’t name the ‘famous’ former boyfriend (WS). She was mad at me leaving the relationship so she and her Hollywood Team just tried to destroy my character. It had to be my fault, right?.”

David Justice didn’t stop there tough…

“Yup…Me, Eric, Gabriel and Oliver were all her ‘Knight in Shinging Armor, until it ends. Then we all become the worst guys in history. Only the guys in the relationship with Halle know the real deal…there will be another, of course. He’ll be called ‘The Best’ until it ends.”

And then this…

“Just wait, Oliver…It’s coming! She insinuated that her daughter wasn’t safe around Gabriel…look it up and see the reason! Just wrong. smh.”

Eric Benet Co-Signed David’s Claims About Their Ex, Halle?

After David went off ’bout Halle on Twitter, Halle’s other ex-husband, Eric Benet, unleashed a tweet of his own, seemingly co-signing everything David claimed about Halle that day:

“My man at @23davidjustice is tweeting some truths dis’ mornin’!”

As you can see, David Justice was still pissed that Halle never once spoke out to let the world know that he was not the man who beat her, reportedly causing her to lose 80% of her hearing in her left ear. After they divorced, rumors never died down that David was supposedly to blame for that, but that simply was not true.

Pretty sure y’all caught those initials David threw in there, which were “WS.” Of course we all know that Halle dated a celebrity with those same initials – Wesley Snipes. However, we’re not 100% sure who David is referring to, but we just thought we’d point that out. Maybe he should clarify that part, just in case he isn’t talking about Wesley (yeah, okay).

David Explained Why He Called Out Halle

Anyways, Halle has clearly burned some bridges with her exes and this is what David had to say to DailyMail about his tweets at that time:

“I had to say something after reading about Halle’s recent marriage,” he said. …So many years ago, I didn’t say anything about the accusations that I abused her, but now I have three children, ages, 15, 13 and 11, two boys and one girl, and they can read this stuff and they have friends who will read it as well so I had to finally come out and say once and for all I never hit Halle Berry.

“Back then it didn’t matter, but it’s different now,” he tells Daily Mail Online. “Halle never said I hit her but she never said I didn’t either, which was disappointing.

“Let me tell you something, I was raised by a single mother and I love and respect her dearly, I would never hit a woman. Never. I am not the face of Halle Berry’s exes, I won’t be going on TV to talk about this. I just wanted to make sure my wife, my children and the rest of my family, friends and fans know the truth.

“It just makes me mad to still see the same lie being perpetuated about the source of her abuse being me. Never happened!”

He went on to say his wife [Halle Berry] got mad when he watched ESPN and accused him of cheating whenever she saw a picture of him with a woman who might be standing next to him. He added that Berry carried a lot of baggage from her previous relationships and always suspicious. “I’ve never known a girl who could throw a tantrum like she does.”

Two days after David Justice called our Halle in November 2015 (and 18 years after their divorce), Halle apparently finally cleared the air that it was not David Justice who beat her back in the day…at least according to David’s eventual tweet. He thanked Halle for “for finally squashing all of the rumors in the past,that I had physically abused her,causing the hearing loss.”

It’s unclear how Halle thanked David (it didn’t seem to be publicly), but one thing’s for certain: the reputation she’s built with the men in her life – ranging from singer, Christopher Williams, to David Justice – have seemingly been kinda consistent.

Al Sharpton revealed, to NYDaily News, what Prince did in 2012 after unarmed, Trayvon Martin (17), was fatally shot by George Zimmerman- the son of a Caucasian retired Supreme Court magistrate, who got off without any legal ramifications for the killing. Soon after Zimmerman brutally took Trayvon’s life, Sharpton was surprised when Prince called to tell him he wanted to help Trayvon’s family. However, the Purple Rain star wanted to remain anonymous, which is why he needed Sharpton’s help…

Al Sharpton: “I will never forget when he [Prince] called me and said he had some funds he wanted to give to Trayvon Martin’s family… Just out of the blue. Just out of the clear blue. He didn’t want anybody to know. He didn’t even want Trayvon Martin’s family to know where the funds came from.”

It seems that Trayvon Martin’s family probably didn’t find out that the donator was Prince until after Prince’s passing…wow. But wait…there’s more…

PRINCE’S EX-WIFE TELLS HOW HE HELPED EVERY INNER CITY HE PERFORMED IN

Although they amicably divorced in 2006, after 5 years of marriage, Prince’s second wife (now Eric Benet’s wife), Manuela Testolini, remained active in several of Prince’s philanthropic/humanitarian efforts. After Prince’s passing, Manuela did an interview with Rolling Stone and recalled the various ways Prince helped others. Testolini sought a position at Love 4 One Another because she liked how the organization operated. “They were doing projects ranging from building community gardens to helping domestic shelters. […] When Prince would visit different cities for a concert, he would have work going on to complement the places he visited.” If Prince had a Philadelphia show in the middle of winter, his organization would do a coat drive or a food drive nearby. “You can imagine calling a food bank, saying, ‘You need to come here tomorrow with lots of trucks to pick up bins and bins of food,'” she says with a laugh. “It was a very effective, quick food drive and an easy way to make an impact. It was mobilizing people who were already interested and giving them a little way to impact their community.”

Prince’s ex also explained how he’d always help families he’d see on television, that were in need…

When many of us think of Eric Benet, we think of the R&B crooner who gave us classic 90’s jams, like “Spend My Life With You.” We also think of him as Halle Berry’s ex-husband. In more recent years, he’s become known as the politically outspoken celeb’ who’s married to the ex-wife of Prince and always lets his Twitter fingers get tuh talkin.’ Typically the latter two aforementioned topics are what people usually talk about, but this go ’round it’s his photo of his adorable daughters and his controversial tweet about rappers and white supremacy that has the attention of many.

His Controversial Tweet

First up, we’ll start with the tweet that Eric Benet posted on August 5, 2018), in which he compared certain rappers to messengers of white supremacy.

In the meme he shared online, the message read: “If all you rap about is killing Black people, degrading Black women, abusing drugs, materialization, living a low life…you are not a artist, you are a Black face for White supremacy.” Eric then captured his post with this: “An inconvenient truth to some superstars.”

Following his tweet, many fans were down with Benet and his outlook on today’s hip hop, while a few were not, including rapper Azealia Banks:

Here’s the thing, I agree with what Eric Benet stated, but I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t think that rappers from back in the day, like N.W.A. and Tupac, weren’t guilty of some of the same things on his checklist list. Yet, they’re still some of the most legendary rappers ever and many of us, old schoolers, are guilty of vibin’ to their music at some point or another. So, I’m not sure if our generation would be considered the ‘pot’ and the youngins are the ‘kettle’ in this scenario. However, if we are the ‘pot calling the kettle black,’ I’d still take our REAL hip hop from back in the day, over a lot (not all) of this hot garbage being labeled as rap today…just saying. Movin’ on…

Meet Their Daughters

On to the beautiful family of Eric Benet and his wife, Manuela Testolini. Music icon, Prince, was married to Manuela from 2001 to 2006. That was Prince’s second and final marriage. R&B crooner, Eric Benet, is moe than just the man who graced us with classics like, “Spend My Life With You,” he’s a cat who isn’t afraid to speak his mind to the masses. That was on full display Saturday (8-12-17) as the horrific chaos in Charlottesville, Virginia was unraveling before the world’s eyes.

A Recap Of The Racist Fueled Chaos

In case you’ve been outta the loop for the past 24 hours, here’s why Benet is going off on social media: As we previously reported, violence and tragedy happened when a few hundred Ku Klux Klan, white nationalists, and neo-Nazi members (several who wore Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hats) were about to hold a rally in protest of Charlottesville’s plans to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee, the Confederate general and apparently a hero to the racists groups.

Before the rally could even start, counter-protestors (of many races) stood up against the White racists organizations and shut it down. However, all hell broke loose almost as soon as the two sides faced off at the rally site. Plenty of people fought, kicked, punched, and sprayed each other with various chemical agents.

A car -which police say was driven by 20 year old, James Alex Fields Jr.- then plowed into a crowd of those who were counter-protesting the racist rally, injuring 19 and killing one. Hours later, a a pilot and a Virginia state trooper were killed in a helicopter crash, as they were hovering over the riots to monitor the chaos.

Now, Eric Benet, like many others, is sounding off on the causes behind the racists events, much of which he feels is currently being sparked by Pres. Trump’s racially motivated political actions, tweets, and views. Check out the various tweets and re-tweets Benet has been posting in wake of the Charlottesville riots:

Benet took jabs at House of Representatives Speaker, Paul Ryan (R)…

Then he questioned the typically specific tweeter, Trump’s, non-specific tweet about the Charlottesville riots…

Benet also tweeted and retweeted comments about the racists views behind the Charlottesville rally and the racial protest at Virginia University the night before the rally…

We’ve all heard of rap beef. Hell, we’ve even heard of R&B beef. But this go ’round, there’s a new beef added to the equation- R&B-rap beef by way of Eric Benét and Jay Z.  The “Spend My Life With You” crooner has just spoken out to make it known that he will ‘spend his life’ defending his wife…especially against Jay Z and his recent diss track…or more like his shady track.

In case y’all haven’t heard all the hype circulating around these social media streets, Jay Z has just released his 13th studio album, titled 4:44. The interesting thing about is that it is only available to Sprint users and Tidal subscribers. But that’s nothing in comparison to why everybody’s talking about Jay Z’s new album right about now. You see, his title single, “Kill Jay Z,” has just opened up a few can of worms for Jay.

Jay Z rapped about everything from Kanye West, to his wife, Beyonce’…and that’s where he threw Eric Benét up into the mix.  Before we go jumping to conclusions, no Benét didn’t try to get with Bey,’ or anything like that. Jay Z did, however, name drop Benét in his song as reference of what not to do when married to- what Jay referred to as- one of the “baddest” women in the world (referring to Benét ex-wife, Halle Berry). That reference, in essence, can also be viewed as a lil’ indirect shade to Eric’s current wife as well…as if she’s just someone Eric had to ‘settle for’ after Halle. Jay also confessed, on the song, that he almost made an ‘Eric Benét mistake’ in his own marriage to Beyonce.’.

Here are the lyrics to that portion of Jay Z’s song:

“You almost went Eric Benét/Let the baddest girl in the world get away/I don’t even know what else to say/Nigga, never go Eric Benét/I don’t even know what you woulda done/In the future, other niggas playin’ football with your son.”

After word got to Eric Benét about Jay Z’s song shade, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to see why the brotha was pissed off. Benét- who admitted to screwing up his marriage to Halle Berry due to his prior sex addiction- is now married to Prince’s ex-wife, Manuela Testolini.

Eric Benét’s Clap Back To Jay Z

So earlier today (June 30, 2017), Benét decided to take to Twitter to honor his wife, clap back at Jay Z, indirectly shade Halle, and stand up in his own defense all at the same dame time, with one simple tweet:

“Hey yo #Jayz! Just so ya know, I got the baddest girl in the world as my wife….like right now!”

And there ya’ have it IOSM family! Jay Z done stirred up something now…or maybe not. Eric and Jay are both level-headed grown men with much to lose.
