Pop singer/Usher’s musical protégée, Justin Bieber, has just taken to social media to make a very surprising, yet, thought provoking statement about the Black Lives Matter movement. He’s using his platform, his race, and his fame to bring major awareness about the BLM cause to his millions of fans, most of whom are White.

Bieber is trying to shine a spotlight on the astronomical number of Black people being unjustly murdered by police and the countless injustices against people of color that have been going on for centuries.

He’s just posted a “Black Lives Matter” meme on his Instagram page, with a caption that reads:

“I am a white Canadian and I will never know what it feels like to be an African American but what I do know is I am willing to stand up and use my voice to shine light on racism, because it’s a real thing and it’s more prevalent now than I have ever seen in my lifetime.. we are all Gods children and we are ALL EQUAL.”

I must admit that this kinda took me by surprise. No, I didn’t think that Justin Bieber was racist, it’s just that I also didn’t think the young man was so aware, or even concerned about such a serious racial social issues. I stand corrected and give props to Bieber for risking some of his fan base, to speak out for what he believes is the right thing to do.

Justin Bieber done did it now! We’re a little late with this, but we still think it’s worth talking about because what Bieber allegedly said is unbelievable. He made plenty of folks angry on social media when he made a harsh comment about Prince on the day that he passed away. After further researching what Bieber could have meant by his Prince comment, it’s still inconclusive, but one thing’s for sure- it was offensive to Prince.
