La Toya: “Well actually, to be quite honest with you, he [Jermaine] did have a relationship. … He has admitted that they (Jermaine and Whitney) had an affair […] Well, in ’84, Jermaine and Whitney did work together. That was the beginning of her career, basically,” La Toya Jackson said.

On Jermaine denying the relationship with Whitney in his book, La Toya said:

“I think that Jermaine wrote that in his book to protect Whitney at that particular time…and he has admitted that they had an affair.”

Jermaine Was Distraught When Whitney Passed

According to The Sun, at the time of Whitney Houston’s death, Jermaine Jackson was so devastated that he was unable to attend her funeral and that 3 years prior to Whitney’s death, she comforted Jermaine over the loss of his brother, Michael. Michael allegedly didn’t approve of the relationship between Jermaine and Whitney, but his disapproval didn’t stop them from seeing each other, according to those close to the situation. Even when their alleged affair ended, they still kept in touch.

Was Saving All My Love About Jermaine?

Many have assumed that Whitney even alluded to their reported relationship in her classic love ballad, Saving All My Love. If you recall, that ‘80s classic is about  a woman having a romance with a married man and not giving up, as Whitney sang about longing for the day when that man would be all hers. Openly, Jermaine wrote about how he struggled with his feelings for Whitney, although he put them aside for the sake of his marriage:

Jermaine: “As much as I wanted to lose myself in all these feelings, I told her [Whitney] to wait. Ultimately, we had to go our separate ways and it killed us both.”

It’s very unfortunate that on the 13th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009, new drama has surfaced regarding his estate and apparently an ex of one of MJ’s siblings…but yet, here we are.

On Friday, June 24, 2022 — one day before the 13th anniversary of MJ’s death — MJ’s estate filed a lawsuit against Jeffre Philips, whom the estate says was engaged to Michael’s sibling at the time of his passing in 2009. However, the court docs did not specify which sibling they were referring to.

Which MJ ‘Sibling’s Ex’ Is His Estate Referring To? We DO NOT Know, But…

For the record, we have NO idea which Jackson sibling was engaged to the ex whom the estate is claiming to be the alleged ‘thief.’ But coincidentally, the only ex of a Jackson sibling who’s name is “Jeffre Phillips” that we — along with the mass majority — are aware of, is La Toya Jackson’s ex-fiancé.

Many of you may recall when Jeffre oftentimes appeared on La Toya’s OWN Network reality show, “Life With La Toya,” back in 2013. At that time, he’d been her decades-long business partner. They then made headlines after Jeffre asked La Toya to marry her on the show. But again, it’s unclear if that is the same “Jeffre Phillips” accused in estate’s lawsuit.

It’s also worth noting that the legal docs state Jeffre was engaged to one of Michael’s siblings in 2009, but as far as the public knows…La Toya and Jeffre didn’t become engaged until 2013. So, take that info with a grain of salt. Moving on…

What MJ’s Estate’s Claims Phillips ‘Stole’ In New Lawsuit

It’s unclear why it’s taken MJ’s estate thirteen years to make these claims. Nevertheless, according to MJ’s estate…amid the confusion and drama that occurred at MJ’s home shortly after his death, Jeffre Phillips seized the opportunity to snatch up many personal belongings of Michael’s.

The lawsuit states that Jeffre stayed at Michael’s home — located in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA — for nine days, soon after MJ died. The estate seemingly suggests that he probably knew he’d be able to get away with his alleged heist due to the many distractions that were taking place inside the home at that time.

According to the court docs, Jeffre hit up MJ’s home for very specific items like, ‘MJ’s iPhone, California drivers license, prescription pill bottles with pills inside and some clothes.’ But there’s more…the estate also claims Jeffre jacked some of Michael’s handwritten notes; MJ’s briefcase, stuffed with business and personal papers; video cameras; hard drives; and computers.

The weirdest items the estate claims Jeffre stole, are the pajamas MJ had own in his final hours — which the paramedics apparently had taken off Michael’s body as they were attempting to save his life; as well as the resuscitator tube that appeared to have been used on Michael at that time.

At this time, neither Jeffre Phillips, La Toya Jackson, nor any other Jackson sibling has spoken publicly about the estate’s latest ‘theft’ claims. It’s also worth noting that it’s unclear if La Toya currently has any dealings with Jeffre’ – personally or professionally. Only time will tell, maybe.

La Toya Jackson’s Claims:

Michael Jackson said most of the problems came from his buy-out of half of Sony’s song catalog. After he bought half of Sony’s publishing for $45 million (it’s now worth over a billion) he was doomed for murder, according to what he told his sister. “They are going to murder me over that catalogue,” Latoya said MJ told her. She goes on to add: “People come into your life, wiggle their way in, control you, manipulate, control your funds, your finances, everything that you have.”

In the video above, Michael also claimed Sony was retaliating against him for being able to “out-think them.” He said they were intentionally sabotaging his name and his success; and that because of practicing good business, he was leaving Sony, owning half of Sony’s publishing.

He also went off on the then-head of Sony Music, Tommy Mottola, referring to him as a “devil.” Mottola resigned six months later.

Mariah Carey Reportedly Tried To Warn MJ?

Jackson also discussed Mariah Carey –but not before asking that cameras be turned off, then telling the crowd “you know what tape it, I don’t mind.” Jackson stated that after Mariah divorced Mottola, she came to him crying, telling him that Mottola would tap her phones and have her followed.

Ex-Wife, Lisa Marie Presley’s Claims:

Lisa Marie Presley told Oprah that during a conversation in 2005 Jackson told her that he was afraid for his life. Presley told Oprah, “The final part of the conversation was him telling me that he felt that someone was going to try to kill him to get a hold of his catalogue and his estate.” She continued, “He expressed to me his concern for his life.” Presley also said Jackson gave her names but that she would prefer not to say them.

So…this fiasco all went down in 2018, and it’s still quite interesting nonetheless. Why? Because seemingly to this very day, things are not all peachy between Joe Jackson’s secret daughter Joh’Vonnie Jackson (46) and her iconic siblings…especially La Toya Jackson (65).

Back in May 2018, only a few days had past when at that time Joh’Vonnie had publicly sent prayers up, after publicly revealing that La Toya had reportedly suffered a stroke. The only other Jackson who’d confirmed that info, was La Toya’s niece (Joh’Vonnie’s daughter), Yasmine Jackson. Although La Toya hadn’t confirmed that she’d suffered a stroke, she has yet to deny it as well.

Fast forward to a few days afterwards – as the famous Jackson sibling was allegedly recovering, her out-of-wedlock sister, Joh’Vonnie, gave an update on La Toya’s health status, while simultaneously throwing a lil’ shade her way.

Following La Toya’s supposed stroke, Joh’Vonnie took to Instagram Live to left folks know that La Toya was recovering, while also politely informing her followers that the elder Jackson sibling is a horrible sister to her:

Joh’Vonnie Jackson – “You know, I just wanted to take a moment and talk about my sister La Toya. … It’s very unfortunate, she’s 62 years old and she had a minor stroke. And I personally want her to know, that even though that you have been the worst sister …to me, I want you to know that I still love you…”

Two days after the ‘stroke’ revelation, La Toya had received a great outpouring of well wishes from fans online. In return, La Toya posted a ‘thank you’ message…without denying that she’d had a stroke, which led everyone to assume it was true:

“I wish to thank every last one of you for your THOUGHTFULNESS , your CARING and the LOVE you have expressed. IT IS EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!! I am well and I thank you so much for your prayers. 🙏 I LOVE YOU ALL! Have a beautiful weekend!😘”

BUT lo and behold, 10 hours later La Toya, posted a new Twitter message to prove that her sister’s stroke report was not even an alternative fact…but that it was not a fact at all:

“Again thank you for your prayers and thoughtfulness, but guys, to make it clear I DID NOT HAVE A STROKE!!!!”

Although Joh’Vonnie didn’t go into detail about why she labeled La Toya “the worst” sister, I’m willing to bet it probably has something to do with their past rocky history; and also Joh’Vonnie’s willingness to let the world know about La Toya’s health condition at that time. It seems that La Toya doesn’t even get down with her Daddy’s love-child like that. See why below…

Joh’Vonnie’s Rocky History With SOME Of Her Famous Siblings

As we previously reported, Joh’Vonnie is the late Joe Jackson’s love-child, but he was still a very hands-on father to Joh’Vonnie.

Though Joh’Vonnie is an innocent bystander – in regards to Joe steppin’ out on his wife, Katherine, and having a 25-year affair with Joh’Vonnie’s mother – there are several reasons why La Toya may not like her: (1) She’s the result of their Pops’ infidelity; and (2) Joh’Vonnie is the only Jackson sibling granted the privilege of calling Joe “daddy.” The other siblings were forced to call Joe by his first name.

During a prior interview, Joh’Vonnie revealed what it was like the first time she met her siblings years ago. Joe Jackson brought her to the Jacksons’ Encino, CA home to meet all of them…including his wife, Katherine Jackson.

Surprisingly, Mama Katherine took a liking to Joh’Vonnie, which was a shock to Joh’Vonnie … because prior to meeting Katherine, La Toya had written, in her autobiography, that Katherine referred to Joh’Vonnie as “the bastard child.”

Joh’Vonnie is reportedly very close to sister, Rebbie. However, Joh’Vonnie says her other siblings were cold toward her…but that Janet Jackson eventually loosened up years later.

Via The Mirror: “I met Janet when I was 15,” [said Joh’Vonnie]. “I saw her that one time and it was clear she never wanted to have a relationship with me. I couldn’t really understand why. […] “I would be shopping in a department store and would see La Toya, but I couldn’t go to talk with her because I didn’t feel she wanted to talk to me.”

Joh’Vonnie may be getting the cold shoulder from some of her siblings, but she still maintains relationships with Katherine, Rebbie; as she also did with her dad, Joe Jackson, up until his death in June 2018. Remember Switch’s 1979 classic, “I Call Your Name”? Well, guess what? That song was inspired by a famous R&B singer who was also the love of Bobby DeBarge’s (the lead singer of Switch) life at that time. According to switch member, Gregory Williams, Bobby and this female singer were madly in love.

Their relationship was kept very private back in the day and it wasn’t until a few decades later that some whispers leaked publicly about their puppy love.

The singer we’re referring to had a music career that was primarily crackin’ throughout the ’80s…but after that era fizzled out, so did her career. Okay family, those are all of the hints we’ll give. Scroll down to see who she is…

“I Call Your Name” was written about La Toya Jackson! Can you believe that?!! Gregory Williams — who co-wrote the song with Bobby — stated that all Bobby had on his mind during their writing session, was La Toya.

Here’s what he revealed about the night they wrote the song:

G. W. – “The night we wrote ‘I Call Your Name’ was a strange one. Bobby was dating LaToya Jackson and she was the only girl on his mind. One night, he started fooling around on the Fender Rhodes. I started singing along, and next thing you know we had a song. There were also reports that Bobby and La Toya were practically joined at the hip during that time.

Bobby Wasn’t La Toya’s Usual Type

LaToya is probably the singer you would least expect to have dated Bobby, given her dating track record of what seem to be the complete opposites of Bobby DeBarge- a street cat who dabbled with drugs and had a lot of swag and soul.

La Toya’s companion history included her tumultuous marriage to her former Jewish husband, Jack Gordon, who was rumored to have mafia ties. Their marriage had many folks asking, ‘What in the world does she see in that dude?!!’

Some years ago, La Toya was engaged to her long-time friend and business partner, Jeffre Phillips, which also raised a few eyebrows.

But La Toya and Bobby’s romance was genuine, and they’d began dating after Janet secretly started dating Bobby’s younger brother, James DeBarge, with whom Janet eventually eloped.

It’s been said that Bobby was very depressed after he and La Toya broke up, but that he never stopped loving her from a distance.

Bobby sadly passed away after years of struggles, including battling his heroin addiction, serving a 5-year prison sentence, and battling the AIDS virus all at the same time. He had one of the most incredible falsetto voices to have EVER touched the music industry and unfortunately he also had his demons that stemmed from his childhood and his horrific relationship with his father.

It’s hard not to imagine what would have become of Bobby if he and La Toya had stayed together. They say love conquers all…so you never know – with the right woman by his side, maybe, just maybe Bobby could have had a different outcome. Too bad it didn’t work out between the two of them.

In the wake of the controversy surrounding the controversial Leaving Neverland documentary, Michael Jackson’s big sis,’ La Toya Jackson, seems to be having a nostalgic moment about her painful abusive past, when she was also the ostracized member of the Jackson fam.’

Most of us, Old Schoolers, remember when La Toya went on a media blitz to accuse Michael of being a child abuser in 1992. She claimed and their pops, Joe Jackson, sexually, physically, and emotionally abused her and sister, Rebbie- all of which the Jacksons denied.

At that time, everybody and their mommas thought La Toya had lost her ever-lovin’ mind, because she’d become an uncharacteristic version of the ‘La Toya’ that fans had known. Nonetheless, years later La Toya confessed that she’d outright lied on her fam’ because her then ‘abusive’ husband/manager, Jack Gordon (pictured above), forced her to do so.

Fast forward to decades later in 2019, when La Toya (64) shared another horrible experience about her abuse, along with visual proof, and we give her props for speaking out…

In a prior emotional Instagram post, La Toya shared a throwback photo of herself with two black eyes, which were presumably from her abusive marriage to Jack Gordon from 1989 to 1997. In her photo caption, La Toya expressed gratitude for making it through that time in her life and encouraged anyone who needed to hear that message to do the same:

“Freedom is extremely important to me, simply because I thought there was a time that I wouldn’t exist. I wasn’t able to be myself and express myself, I was beaten, I was dictated to and told exactly what to say to the Media and how, or else…. I simply wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone, read or even watch-television. I didn’t even know how to use a cell phone or computer because he didn’t want me to gain knowledge from the outside world. I wasn’t privy to it.

I’m simply urging you to take control of your life and not allow anyone and I do mean ANYONE to control you.
My inexperience of not knowing how Manipulative, Conniving and Controlling people can enter one’s life is DEVASTATING! I’m passing on my experience to you and I hope you get some Wisdom and [Understanding] out of this! And simply allow this NOT to happen to you!

In 2011, La Toya shocked the hell outta everybody when she appeared on The Talk daytime show and revealed that Gordon once tried to sell her for sex to Mike Tyson for $100,000.00:

“Mike Tyson later told my mother and father and some other friends that he (Gordon) had told him that if he wanted to sleep with me he has to pay $100,000,” La Toya told the shocked audience.

“I was in brothels and everything. He put me(it was) everything I was against. He made me do Playboy twice and had me sit on the stage and say ‘Oh no, it was all my idea … And I had to do that because I knew what he said he would do, he would do it,” La Toya confessed.

Years later, she says she saw a lot of similarities between her past abusive marriage and the controlling situation Michael was in when he passed:

“In the last days, I found my brother being in that same situation as I was in. I was fortunate enough to get away and start over but unfortunately he was not. It was really heartbreaking.”

Seems like La Toya Jackson has grown a lot from her past. Hopefully, her story will help someone else who may be going through a similar abusive situation.

According to switch member, Gregory Williams, the late, Bobby, and this female singer were madly in love and that was all Bobby could think about at that time.

“I Call Your Name” Was Written For WHO???

“I Call Your Name” was written about La Toya Jackson! She and Bobby DeBarge were a couple at the time that Bobby and his group member, Gregory Williams, wrote the song. Gregory stated that all Bobby had on his mind during their writing session, was La Toya.

Here’s what Williams revealed about the night they wrote the song:

“The night we wrote ‘I Call Your Name’ was a strange one. Bobby was dating LaToya Jackson and she was the only girl on his mind. One night, he started fooling around on the Fender Rhodes. I started singing along, and next thing you know we had a song. I’m not saying the song was written for LaToya, but they were in love, and Bobby couldn’t wait to play her the completed song.” -Vibe Magazine: The Rise and Fall of the DeBarge family (2007)

There were also reports that Bobby and La Toya were practically joined at the hip during that time.

Bobby Was Waaaay Different From La Toya’s Other Exes

La Toya is probably the singer you would least expect to have dated Bobby, given her dating track record of what seems to be the complete opposites of him- a street cat who dabbled with drugs and had a whole lot of swag and soul.

La Toya’s companion history included her tumultuous marriage to her Jewish husband, Jack Gordon, who was rumored to have mafia ties. Their marriage had many folks asking ‘What in the world does she see in that dude?!!’

A few years ago, La Toya was engaged to her long time friend and business partner, Jeffre Phillips, which also raised a few eyebrows.

Though La Toya’s other public relationships were hella suspect, she and Bobby’s romance was genuine. They began dating after Janet secretly began Bobby’s younger bro,’ James DeBarge, whom Janet eventually married.

It’s been said that Bobby was very depressed after he and La Toya broke up, but he never stopped loving her from a distance.

Bobby sadly passed away after years of battling heroin addiction and serving a 5 year prison sentence simultaneously. He had one of the most incredible falsetto voices to have EVER graced the music industry, but unfortunately, he also had his demons that stemmed from his childhood trauma which reportedly resulted from his horrific relationship with his Father.

It’s hard not to imagine what would have become of Bobby if he and La Toya would have remained together. They say love conquers all, so you never know, with the right woman by his side, maybe, just maybe Bobby could have had a different outcome. May he continue to rest well.

To most on the inside of the music business, Michael Jackson was an excellent businessman. Additionally, it has long been proven that MJ was NOT the MJ we knew him to be. He was more like Bob Marley, Tupac, Malcolm X, or Martin Luther King– all of whom had known (or perceived) threats against there lives, and ultimately spoke out even louder to stand up for what they felt was right. Even after Michael knew there were several inside threats on his life, he would publicly speak out even more against the evils of the music industry, making sure he made it very clear to his enemies that he wasn’t NEVER scared!

La Toya Jackson’s Claims:

Michael Jackson said most of the problems came from his buy-out of half of Sony’s song catalog. After he bought half of Sony’s publishing for $45 million (it’s now worth over a billion) he was doomed for murder, according to what he told his sister. “They are going to murder me over that catalogue,” Latoya said MJ told her. She goes on to add: “People come into your life, wiggle their way in, control you, manipulate, control your funds, your finances, everything that you have.”

In the video above, Michael also claimed Sony was retaliating against him for being able to “out-think them.” He said they were intentionally sabotaging his name and his success; and that because of practicing good business, he was leaving Sony, owning half of Sony’s publishing.

He also went off on the then-head of Sony Music, Tommy Mottola, referring to him as a “devil.” Mottola resigned six months later.

Mariah Carey Reportedly Tried To Warn MJ?

Jackson also discussed Mariah Carey –but not before asking that cameras be turned off, then telling the crowd “you know what tape it, I don’t mind.” Jackson stated that after Mariah divorced Mottola, she came to him crying, telling him that Mottola would tap her phones and have her followed.

Ex-Wife, Lisa Marie Presley’s Claims:

Lisa Marie Presley told Oprah that during a conversation in 2005 Jackson told her that he was afraid for his life. Presley told Oprah, “The final part of the conversation was him telling me that he felt that someone was going to try to kill him to get a hold of his catalogue and his estate.” She continued, “He expressed to me his concern for his life.” Presley also said Jackson gave her names but that she would prefer not to say them.

Up until recent years, the rumors were just that- rumors, until a few years ago when La Toya Jackson publicly revealed some inside info about this situation. La Toya On Whitney & Jermaine’s “Affair”

Now, before we go any further, let’s clear up a few things about the ‘affair’ wording. For those who may not have heard, or are a lil’ too young to remember, Jermaine was married to Hazel Gordy (daughter of Motown mogul, Berry Gordy) in the 70’s and 80’s. However, it was also well documented, that they’re marriage reportedly experienced some separation, breakups, and make-ups, in the 80’s. Not justifying what you’re about to hear from La Toya, just adding more insight into the situation…moving on…

While Jermaine Jackson has refused to comment publicly about the alleged 80’s affair with Whitney Houston, his sister, La Toya, didn’t mind spilling the beans when she was featured on The Talk. She confirmed that Whitney and Jermaine were in a relationship…

La Toya: “Well actually, to be quite honest with you, he [Jermaine] did have a relationship. … He has admitted that they (Jermaine and Whitney) had an affair […] Well, in ’84, Jermaine and Whitney did work together. That was the beginning of her career, basically,” La Toya Jackson said.

On Jermaine denying the relationship with Whitney in his book, La Toya said:

“I think that Jermaine wrote that in his book to protect Whitney at that particular time…and he has admitted that they had an affair.”

Jermaine Was Distraught When Whitney Passed

According to The Sun, at the time of Whitney Houston’s death, Jermaine Jackson was so devastated that he was unable to attend her funeral and that 3 years prior to Whitney’s death, she comforted Jermaine over the loss of his brother, Michael. Michael allegedly didn’t approve of the relationship between Jermaine and Whitney, but his disapproval didn’t stop them from seeing each other, according to those close to the situation. Even when their alleged affair ended, they still kept in touch.

Was Saving All My Love About Jermaine?

Many have assumed that Whitney even alluded to their reported relationship in her classic love ballad, Saving All My Love. If you recall, that 80’s classic is about  a woman having a romance with a married man and not giving up, as Whitney sang about longing for the day when that man would be all hers. The video even used a model that had somewhat of a resemblance to Jermaine Jackson…

Despite the fact that Jermaine refused to speak about the alleged affair with Whitney publicly, that didn’t stop him from writing about it. In later years, Jermaine Jackson penned a book called, You are Not Alone: Michael, Through A Brother’s Eyes. Openly, Jermaine wrote about how he struggled with his feelings for Whitney, although he put them aside for the sake of his marriage:

Jermaine: “As much as I wanted to lose myself in all these feelings, I told her [Whitney] to wait. Ultimately, we had to go our separate ways and it killed us both.”
