Ever since Tamar Braxton split from her husband/manager, Vincent Herbert, dude has been going THROUGH it. First, there was his emergency health scare, resulting in his hospitalization soon after they went their separate ways. Now, there have been a plethora of money issues reported about Vince’s current financial status. The most recent being a $380,000.00 lawsuit that his former artists- rapper, Remy Ma, and pop star, Lady Gaga- have just been dragged into.

Why Remy Ma & Lady Gaga Were Forced To Cooperate In Lawsuit

A music label, called LDNX Records, originally hit Vincent with a $380K lawsuit, due to him owing money for prior business dealings with the company. In the label’s quest to try to collect their paper from Vince -who apparently didn’t respond to the court judgement he’d lost against them- LDNX subpoenaed his artists instead. The hope was that Remy Ma and Lady Gaga, still owed their former manager money, which could then be seized in order to pay the label.

Since Lady Gaga, nor Remy had previously responded to LDNX’s request in a timely manner, the label then demanded that both of the ladies, along with Vince and Interscope Records, be held in contempt of court, until they produce the necessary financial documents, regarding any money Vince is owed.

According to The Blast:

[LDNX] won a judgment against Vince in 2017 after suing him over a business deal gone south. They claim to have not been paid a dime from Vince and are trying to figure out the sources of his income so they can seize the money until the $380k is satisfied. LDNX accused Gaga, Remy and the record label of failing to provide complete and accurate answers to the information they demanded from the subpoena.

Lady Gaga eventually turned over the documents the label requested. While Remy Ma was a tad bit slower with producing the docs to aide Vince’s business ‘enemy.’  Nevertheless, she revealed interesting info about Vince’s financial dealings with her:

Via TB: Remy claims to have started working with [Vincent] Herbert in August 2017. She says they no longer work together, and they have no written contracts.

Remy says Herbert was only a temporary consultant and functioned as a personal manager for a short period of time. She hasn’t paid him a dime of anything for 6 months. The rapper also provided information on a Wells Fargo bank Herbert used when she paid him $56k in 2017. LDNX Records is now using that information to try to seize money in it.

The case is still pending, as LDNX Records continues to try to seek and seize any amount of money they can squeeze outta Vince’s accounts and pockets, until his $380K debt is paid in full.

Headed Back To Court

Last month Remy and Taylor allegedly got into a physical altercation backstage at a charity event in New York City. Following the incident Taylor took to social media to show everyone her lumped up face, pointing the finger directly at Remy to inform everyone she was the one who did it to her.

Subsequently, in an effort to take responsibility for her actions Remy turned herself in. If she was hoping for a quick resolution, though, that clearly isn’t about to happen. And she’s not happy about it at all.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — Foxy Brown is accused of skipping a performance scheduled during New York Fashion Week. Yet, supposedly, she showed up after the fact to collect the check.

According to TMZ, 40-year-old Inga “Foxy Brown” Marchand got the bag. Yet, she allegedly didn’t do the work for it. The source states that, on Sunday, September 9, Brown was scheduled to perform two songs at a party for LaQuan Smith, a Black, luxury designer for women’s clothing.

You could probably imagine party attendees were excited to see someone from old school rap — especially a female emcee — gracing the event. One hour passed. Two hours passed. Three. Four.

Still no Foxy…allegedly.

And if this is true, while some celebrities like to make a statement by being casually late, Brown was just straight-up “tardy.”

FOXY’S GRAND ENTRANCE

Reportedly around 2:30 a.m., when most everyone had already left the NYFW soiree, Foxy finally arrived. However, not to perform. She supposedly just came to collect the other half of her check. According to TMZ, Brown “didn’t sing a single note.”

NOTE: She’s not a singer anyway, but that’s beside the point.

The source states that Brown was given $5,000 as an advance and was promised another $5,000 after the show.

Surely, the look on the organizer’s face was one of disbelief when Foxy waltzed through the door like the “Bill Na Na.”

But now, promoters are demanding that Brown return the funds. Essentially, they paid for a service…not her appearance.

The source says that if Foxy doesn’t return the money, they’re taking her to court over the matter.

AND OF COURSE…

Social media is having a field day with this story.

Since reportedly Foxy Brown collected an actual check, and not cash, commenter Delilah Benson mentions:

“But can’t you cancel a check… like the same way her career been canceled since like 03?”

Wooooooooow.

Likewise, there are several others who feel similarly and have also voiced their thoughts via the social media platform. However, admittedly, some of their comments might crack your sides.

For instance, Twitter user Liu Kang tweeted the following visual of “Foxy skipping out on the concert” after cashing out.

Yet, as Koodarius — another Twitter user — mentions, there are two sides to every story. Unfortunately, Brown hasn’t responded regarding this allegation. So for now, we only know this particular side. And it doesn’t look good.. In other tweets, social media commenters size up Foxy in contrast to Lil’ Kim and Remy Ma. One even tossed Jacki-O into the mix concerning their past beef.

All in all, this story is rather inconvenient for Foxy Brown. And it comes just days after she celebrated her birthday. Assuredly, this isn’t how she’d want to remember turning 40.

She may now be a “cougar,” but that doesn’t mean she has to hunt the check like this.
