When Toni Braxton married Mint Condition’s then keyboardist, Keri Lewis, in 2001, it seemed like the fairytale wedding. As fans glanced at photos of their Atlanta wedding in magazines and such, little did we know, there was a lot of drama behind the scenes of the fairytale ceremony.

Keri and Toni’s marriage technically lasted for 13 years, but they separated by the 8 year mark in 2009. After separating, it seemed like there was hope for reconciliation, because they took hella long to go through with their divorce – 4 more years to be exact- and they were still very close. But they decided to make their divorce official in 2013. Now that they’ve moved on with their lives, new details behind some of the drama that took place behind the scenes have surfaced.

For years, there had been whispers that Keri’s former band members were pissed off when Keri married Toni Braxton. Now, Mint Condition’s lead singer, Stokley Williams, has confirmed that the group members were so heated, that all of them (except Stokley) refused to attend Toni’s and Keri’s wedding. They weren’t being petty for no reason though, after hearing what Stokley revealed, they had a good reason to be.

In an interview with Vlad TV, Stokley revealed that Keri and Toni B. met when they were an opening act for her back in the day. Everything was all good, until a short while later, Keri told them he’d fallen in love with Toni and therefore was saying ‘Peace out’ to the group…forever. Wow…Ms. Braxton must be a helluva woman to make a brotha decide to give up his ENTIRE career, just sayin.’

Anywho, not only did Keri’s sudden departure sting his group members -because they were like family and felt betrayed- it also briefly affected the fate of the group’s future. According to Stokley, after Keri split quicker than we could say “Unbreak my heart,” it caused Mint Condition’s signature live band sound to change.

Their fans apparently didn’t adapt as quickly to that change and it showed in record sales at that time. Therefore, their outrage was understandable, because y’all already know- family or not- when somebody messes with one’s livelihood, it does NOT sit too well in one’s soul. In fact, it’ll make a person wanna reach out and touch somebody- and not in the way that Diana meant it.

After all of the drama, Stokley ended up attending the wedding because he still wanted represent for his Mint Condition brotha on his big day.

These days, we’re not sure if the other Mint Condition members have completely forgiven Keri Lewis after kicking them to the curb for Toni Braxton. However, now that Keri and Toni are divorced, I wonder if Keri now regrets giving up everything for his ex. One thing’s for sure, Toni is happy and crazy in love with her fiancee,’ Birdman, so there probably are no regrets on her end.

Toni Braxton and her man/Cash Money mogul, Birdman, had everybody talking on Monday night. Why? Because their May-December romance seems to have turned up a notch. Well, at least if we base it on that mega sized diamond on Toni’s ‘I’s married nah’ finger, that looked heavy enough to weigh her 5’1″ frame down to ground.

We reported a while back, that Toni had mysteriously appeared with a beautiful, gigantic diamond on her left ring finger, at the 2017 Soul Train Music Awards and in Dubai months ago. Then, it somehow mysteriously vanished in her many photos thereafter, without any explanation by the “Unbreak My Heart” songstress.

Bling, Bling!

Welp folks, lo and behold…our girl, Toni B., and her diamond resurfaced at the film premiere for, Faith Under Fire: The Antoinette Tuff Story. Toni is starring in that film, but on the red carpet for the premiere that was held at NeueHouse Madison Square in NYC, her ring stole the show.

She and Birdman posed for pics and Toni looked hella sexy as always. Her man gave his signature poker faced glare for the cameras and her diamond was bling-blingin’ like Birdman’s ‘son,’ Lil Wayne.

Was Tamar Right?

Although neither Birdman, nor Toni answered questions about the diamond on her ‘I’m spoken for’ finger, it has managed to spark rumors, yet again, that they may be married on the low. Remember when we told y’all that Tamar Braxton claimed on The Wendy Williams Show, that her big sis and Birdman had jumped the broom? Tamar even went as far as to refer to Toni as Mrs. Braxton-Williams, Birdman’s last name, on social media.

We don’t know if Tamar’s claims are true or not, but one thing is clear, Toni looks at her man like she’s singing her “I Love Me Some Him” song lyrics to him in her mind every time.

Who would’ve thunk it, right? Toni Braxton, the church girl-turned classy R&B legend, dating and/or possibly marrying Birdman, the tatted up gangsta-turned hip hop mogul. Just goes to show that opposites really do attract, wishing Toni Braxton and Bryan ‘Respeck On it’ “Birdman” Williams many years of happiness.

World-famous, renown singer, Anita Baker, let the public know she was calling it quits last, as we previously reported. After major fan outcry to her retirement news, she’s now decided that she’s not gonna leave everyone hanging. Good news ILoveOldSchoolMusic fam,’ one more concert series is on the way.

Now, all of us Old Schoolers, know Anita Baker and her old school classics, but for any of our young old schoolers on here, here’s a quck refresher: You might know her unique alto voice from such chart-topping hits as “Sweet Love,” “Body & Soul,” and “Just Because,” as notes Billboard. Anita Baker has been a legendary influence in R&B soul music since the 80’s and her voice is just as smooth as ever. She’s obtained several Grammy Awards throughout her career and will forever retain the hearts of many listeners the world over.

Back to her final concerts though. A few days ago, Anita tweeted that we’re coming up on her last performance series. With her 60th birthday quickly approaching, Baker wants to start taking it easy.

Twitter was in tears last year around this time, when she officially announced her retirement, and Twitter is in tears all over again after her last tour announcement.

A couple days ago, it was revealed that Birdman could lose his home over a $12 million unpaid loan. So, of course, fans have a lot to say about the extravagant rapper’s financial woes. However, fans aren’t the only people dragging him. Apparently, Rick Ross has quite a bit to say about Birdman’s downfall.

Dragged To Hell:

According to SOHH, Rick Ross is still bashing Birdman for failing to pay Lil’ Wayne the money he’s owed for royalties. The Florida rapper also insists the latest reports involving the $12 million owed to a company called EMG Transfer Agent proves Birdman has been on a downward spiral for more than five years. From the looks of it, it appears Birdman has been floating money for a while. But Rick Ross even went a step further. He even accused Birdman of being with Toni Braxton for money.

“You mean you move to Miami, took out a loan on a mansion, then took out another loan on a mansion and you still ain’t paid your little n*gga. You ain’t had no money in six, seven years, n*gga. You should have came and borrowed something from Rozay. Now you wanna f*ck that old lady life up too. You probably borrowing some money from her. I might go buy that f*cking house on the water just to keep my boat there. I ain’t even going to stay there, that sh*t’s too small.”

Married Or Nah?:

The latest news about Birdman follows a string of reports about him secretly marrying Toni Braxton. For more than a year now, the two have reportedly been dating but Toni’s rep has confirmed they are not married; at least not yet. When Toni appeared at the Soul Train Awards with Birdman, the ring on her finger turned quite a few heads and fueled rumors about the possibility of her being married to the Cash Money Records CEO.

By now, fans know Toni has also had her share of financial woes. So, it doesn’t seem like she’d be the best person to bail him out. Right now, Birdman appears to be on a downward spiral and things are falling apart fast. If he doesn’t come up with the money to cover the principal, interest, and penalties associated with that loan, he could lose his home.

Most of us have changed drastically since our cute, cuddly kid days, some of us, to the point of where we’re actually unrecognizable in comparison to what we look like now. That is most definitely the case with the sexy songstress this princess (below) grew up to become. Today she’s 50 years old, can still SANG like nobody’s business, music is embedded in her bloodline…and did I mention that she is now hella sexy? I did? Okay cool, moving on. Now, as far as Toni B.’s love life, most of us pretty much know how that’s going. Speaking of major transformations, her taste in men has seen one. For years we witnessed Toni B. and her now ex-husband/father of her two sons, Keri Lewis, (of Mint Condition) be in marital bliss. Now, Toni’s boo-thang, Cash Money mogul, Bryan “Birdman” Williams (pictured below), couldn’t be more different from what many thought Toni’s taste actually was.

Keri Lewis (shown below) is pretty much a conservative, laid back type of cat. Birdman…not so much. The New Orleans bred hip hop legend has built his entire brand as the “#1 stunna” and up until recently, all it took was for him to flash one smile for us to know that he is way different from his fellow bling-less bretheren, Keri.

Nonetheless, Toni and Birdman just work, apparently. They seem happy as hell together and if you let Tamar Braxton tell it, the dynamic duo are actually Mr. and Mrs..  However, Toni and Birdman have reportedly denied that claim, but that big rock the size of Kilimanjaro on Toni’s left finger,  has only added fuel to the fire…

No matter what the deal is, we’re just happy that Toni has been maintaining her health throughout her 10 year Lupus battle and that she’s finally found true happiness in the love department.

Unfortunately, her lil sis’ Tamar isn’t having the same luck at this time. As we reported recently, she’s divorcing her husband/manager, Vince Herbert, and her moms, Evelyn Braxton, has since told all Tamar’s business regarding the alleged years-long abuse Tamar has endured from Vince.

Like the old school saying goes though, trouble doesn’t last always. So best wishes to Tamar and Vince…and looking forward to seeing where Toni’s and Birdman’s journey goes from here, now that they’ve found real love.

We also couldn’t end this without giving Toni B. a big congratulations on her upcoming “Legend of the Year” Soul Train Award! The show will air on November 26th on BET.

For weeks now, it’s been rumored that Toni Braxton and Birdman tied the knot. Once the rumors began circulating, fans wondered if the two had officially gotten married, but after about a week of speculation, it was confirmed that they hadn’t walked down the aisle…yet. Now, the latest photos and video of Toni have fans wondering if a wedding could be happening much sooner than later.

Toni Shows Off Her Ring:

A new video and photo circulating in social-media-verse captures Toni showing off a massive new rock on her left ring finger that looks a lot like a wedding ring. Last night, ‘Ms. Unbreak My Heart’ broke plenty of hopeful dudes’ hearts, when she  was reportedly spotted in Dubai, debuting that rock on her ‘I’m spoken for’ finger. Of course, if it’s a gift from “the #1 stunna,” Birdman, you can only imagine how it looks. There’s definitely a whole lot of bling; so much so, that you couldn’t miss it if you tried. Needless to say, it’s absolutely FIRE!

Fans who noticed the jaw-dropping ring immediately complimented Toni on it. One fan said, “How you gonna miss that rock and talk about her eyes? I’m trying to figure out what New Orleans root Birdman put on Toni to get her to marry him.” Another fan admitted the ring was definitely an attention grabber, “Chile, I’m just focused on that huge rock on her finger. Happy for Toni! The ring is Beautiful!”

Unfortunately, Toni still has yet to officially address the situation or comment about the ring but actions may speak louder than words as far as this situation is concerned. But although Toni hasn’t said much, Tamar said more than enough with her recent Instagram post and it basically confirmed all of the speculation.

A Jaw-Dropping Post:

The latest footage of Toni’s new ring follows a questionable Instagram post that may have let the cat out of the bag. For those who missed that, Toni’s lil’ sister, Tamar Braxton, shared an announcement with Toni’s picture. The announcement was actually about the upcoming Soul Train Awards, but it was really the caption that turned heads. Tamar wrote, “Come through Mrs. Braxton-Williams.” Of course, fans didn’t miss it and immediately began commenting. The Braxtons never addressed the post and it was quickly removed from Tamar’s Instagram account but of course, screenshots are forever, so here it is…

Toni and Birdman have been rather quiet about the big ring debut but the photos of the ring may be the first step to a big announcement in the near future. If so, congrats to Toni and Birdman!

If you’re a Tamar Braxton or Toya Wright fan, then you probably already know that their friendship goes way back, like Cracker Jacks. Unfortunately their bond came to a screeching halt last year, after Toya revealed that she found out Tamar had betrayed her.

In a past interview with ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Toya told the hosts that she’d been trying to book an interview on The Real daytime talk show to promote her projects on for the longest time. During that time, Tamar was a co-host on the show. Toya revealed that soon after Tamar was fired from the show, suddenly the powers that be at The Real invited to appear. According to Toya, she later learned that Tamar had been previously blocking her from being a guest on The Real and that she’d no longer wanted anything to do with Mrs. Braxton. Toya also publicly referred to Tamar as “the fakest bi*ch I know.”

Tamar then proceeded to throw subliminal shots at Toya on Instagram and also stopped speaking to their other close friend/Xscape singer, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, as a result. Although Tiny and Tamar recently made up, word on the Old School curb is that Tamar got pissed off with Tiny for remaining friends with Toya, her ‘frenemy.’ Tamar also stopped visiting her godchild, Heiress (Tiny and T.I.’s daughter),  because of their drama and she got called out by Tiny’s moms on Instagram over it.

Ultimately, ‘Tay-Tay’ blocked all of her celebrity friends- who still associated with Toya- from her social media pages. Later on, she admitted she was being petty and “in her feelings,” when she hit the block button, but through it all, Tamar and Toya never squashed their beef. Now this has happened…

Now that Toya is very pregnant for the second time, with her mystery boyfriend’s child, she has just had a ‘Kumbayah’ moment regarding her ex-friend, ‘Tay-Tay.’ In a new interview with Sister CircleTV, Toya extended an olive branch to Tamar…sorta. Simply put, Toya said they need both need to grow up and start acting like grown folks:

And I myself…I’m a victim of it as well. Tamar Stirs Up Toni-Birdman Rumors…But Doesn’t Respond To Toya

As of now, the ever-so-outspoken Tamar Braxton has not commented on Toya’s olive branch extension. However, she did take a minute to spark up more rumors that her big sister, Toni B., is married to her ‘Mr. Respeck on it’ Cash Money mogul bae, Bryan “Birdman” Williams. In a Instagram post on Monday evening, Tamar did a quick pos- and-delete, in which she celebrated Toni’s upcoming Soul Train Music Awards honoring, while also referring to her as “Mrs. Braxton-Williams.” LOL…gotta luv that petty-shade side of Tamar sometimes. As far as whether or not Tamar will accept Toya’s forgive-and-forget message, only time will tell. Anywho, congrats again to Tiny on her precious bun in the oven!

Well looka here! First it was the $500K platinum grill, and now Birdman has just revealed that he’s taking another major step toward upgrading his look.

If y’all missed our prior report, everybody and their mommas rejoiced after Toni Braxton’s boo-thang debuted his pearly whites for his fans. He removed his grill – and possibly melted it down for a new diamond encrusted platinum piece or something- and proved why folks need to put some ‘respeck’ on his name next time they mention it.

So Is Toni Braxton Really The Reason?

The one that really stands out is, “#shekeepanig*asmile.” Which could be in reference to his BAE, Toni Braxton, or it could be his daughter. Either way it’s a change for Birdman, and we love it! He’s gettin’ his grown man on.

The Numba One Stunna posted a second image with is daughter. He was wearing a black shirt, sunglasses and his pearly whites.

Both pictures were met with a flood of positive comments including, “I have never seen you this damn vibrant since you been on the map. That’s what a ride or die will do for you,” “Love the new smile,” and “This look is you!”

Today though, word on the Old School curb is that the Cash Money mogul is about to get de-tatted. That’s right, the Birdman says he’s removing tattoos from his face. At this point it’s unclear if he’s gonna remove ALL of his face tats, but many fans would agree that any removal would be a step in the right direction for him. One fan (@heyaprilljay on Instagram) even went as far as to create a photoshopped pic of what Birdman will look like after removing all of his facial tattoos. Saying he’ll look hella different is an understatement…

So, why is Birdman going through all of these life changes and looking like he’s “movin’ on up” in life, like The Jeffersons? Who knows. But as we previously reported, many fans believe that his desire to change after decades has a lot to do with his new lady, Toni Braxton.

What’chall think about the new Birdman and his new evolution?

Singer/reality star, Tamar Braxton, a.k.a. Toni Braxton’s lil’ sister, has just revealed some pretty surprising news about her mother, Evelyn Braxton, and Cash Money mogul, Birdman.

As everybody and their mommas know by now, Toni and ‘Mr. Respeck on my name’ have now publicly confirmed their relationship. So when Tamar appeared on The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday (9-28-17), she was asked if Toni and Birdman were still together and that’s when she dropped a few bombshells.

“Brother-in-Law?”

Tamar referred to Birdman as her “brother-in-law,” because she says that although Toni never told her that, she believes they eloped on the low, especially after seeing what Birdman just did for their mother.

Mother’s Heart Surgery

The other bombshell Tamar dropped was about momma Evelyn, who stars on Braxton Family Values with her daughters. She revealed that her mother held a family meeting on Sunday (9-17-17), to inform them that she had to have heart surgery the very next day. Tamar says she was in complete shock and broken up by the news. The heart surgery was a success, but soon after, Evelyn then suffered a stroke. But thankfully, Tamar says their mom made it through and is currently back at home recovering, smiling, talking, etc..

What Tamar Says Birdman Did For Their Mother

She also has great respect for Birdman because she revealed he was there every step of the way “like a brother-in-law” would be. Tamar said that Birdman was there during the family meeting, to the surgery, and he’s still there with her mother at home. That’s why Tamar is now convinced Toni has secretly eloped on the low, LOL.

Most people think Toni and Birdman are an odd couple, but somehow they make it work. I guess the one thing that cannot be denied is that they’re clearly in love…and Birdman also loves his girlfriend’s momma like a ‘mother-in-law.’ See what else Tamar said about this at the 8:12 mark of the video below…

In addition to discussing her family and Birdman, Tamar also took a minute to explain why shaded Monica, Kandi, Tiny, Toya and others on Instagram and she and her close friend, Tiny have now finally forgiven each otehr. Toni Braxton fans can finally “breathe again!” Four years ago, Toni nearly retired her microphone for good. She was in the throws of a divorce, struggling with her health, and battling against financial ruin. She made the announcement that she was retiring from music on Braxton Family Values. The news came as a shock to her family, prompting her sister, Towanda, to reach out to longtime collaborator, singer, songwriter, and producer, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.

It was Babyface who brought her back from the brink. He convinced Toni to use that pain in her music and together they created the Grammy Award-winning album Love, Marriage, & Divorce. Having found her passion for music again, Toni is now putting the final touches on her first solo project in seven years and we are all here for it!

Sex & Cigarettes is scheduled for release in early 2018, but the first single, entitled “Deadwood,” will be out soon. But let’s be real, we really wanna know if Toni’s album is all about her new boo, ‘Mr. Respeck On My Name.’

Outta respect though, let us first fill y’all in with the details of her new album, then we’ll jump right back to Birdman. So, from what we hear, we can expect great vocals and classic lyrics as always, but Toni says she felt like getting a lil’ explicit on this one. “Deadwood” will be the first song that Toni has ever released with an advisory warning. Alright now for Toni taking a walk on the ‘wild side’:

So could it be that Toni is feeling more comfortable in her own skin since announcing her relationship with Cash Money Records mogul boo, Birdman? She’s clearly stepped out of her comfort zone with Birdman and for the first time in a very long time, Toni’s shooting her shot at romance again. Sounds like she might be scratching that 7-year itch with her music as well. Hmmmm…

“I haven’t been happy in a long time outside of work,” Toni told Towanda earlier this year on Braxton Family Values. “Work brings me extreme happiness. When I’m onstage and I’m performing, that’s the only time that I get those butterflies and I feel totally happy with my life. A romantic relationship? I haven’t had time for that–I should say, I chose not to make time for it but it’s right here in front of my face: happiness.”

Either way, the new project is moving full speed ahead because Toni has already shot the music video for “Deadwood.” Her BFF and creative partner, Billie Woodruff, helped bring Toni’s vision for the soon-to-be-released track to life.

“Creative vision coming to life,” Toni wrote on her Instagram post. “So excited for you guys to see this video, directed by my BFF @billiewoodruff. #Deadwood”

Keep your eye out for “Deadwood” in the coming weeks and Sex & Cigarettes early next year. Something tells us that Toni’s new music will be hot and well worth the wait.
