By now, we’ve all heard quite a few horror stories about people “flying while Black.” Now, it appears the Braxton sisters have been caught in the middle of an ordeal on a Delta Airlines flight. Over the weekend, the ladies Delta flight wasn’t exactly a peaceful ride as there was a bit of unexpected turbulence. However, the turbulence had nothing to do with the flight itself. It was a result of Tamar’s awkward encounter with one of the pilots. Now, footage of the incident is going viral.

The Video:

For those who missed the drama, Towanda Braxton took to Instagram with the footage of Tamar’s run-in with the pilot. She captioned the video, “@tamarbraxton got ridiculed by a pilot for flying while black on Delta. Wow! I guess being a diamond and double million miler don’t matter… @delta Shame on you… #WhyArePeopleSoMad #flyingwhileblack #smh.”

The video begins with Tamar’s encounter with the pilot. While it is unclear what led to the incident or why the pilot felt compelled to leave the cockpit and confront Tamar, many people are focusing on his condescending tone. To many fans, the pilot’s tone of voice was very disrespectful. Regardless of what the discussion was about, people are arguing that his attitude was uncalled for. Then to make matters worse, he walked off while she was talking and people are outraged by the level of disrespect.

“Here’s how this works,” he says in the video, posted to Towanda’s Instagram. “My flight attendants work for me. They give orders that come from me. So if you get an instruction from a flight attendant, I need to know that you are willing and able to do what you’re told to do. Are you willing and able to do what you’re told to do by a flight attendant? Don’t ask me any questions. Answer yes or no.”

Somethin’ Missin?:

While the pilot’s tone was obviously condescending, there’s one question that’s still looming: what led to this incident? Of course, fans have defended Tamar but others are wondering what happened before the camera started rolling. Despite Towanda’s blasting post, Delta Airlines doesn’t seem to agree with the Braxtons’ stance an now the airline has clapped back.

Delta Claps Back:

In wake of all the drama and the social media uproar, a representative for Delta Airlines has responded to the video. While Tamar and Towanda have accused the airline of discrimination, Delta is telling a different story. According to People magazine, Delta Airlines is defending the pilot citing the airline’s safety protocols. It has been reported that Delta has responded to the accusations with a detailed statement about the incident that has occurred.

“It’s crucial for the safety of every flight for customers to be willing and able to follow crew instructions. When these customers exhibited some unusual behavior and refused to acknowledge our flight crew’s instructions, the captain addressed them directly to ensure the safety and security of the entire flight,” a representative for Delta told PEOPLE in a statement.

However, the airline didn’t stop there. After Towanda’s blasting statement on Twitter, Delta responded to her tweet directly. That statement was also made in defense of their pilot. “Towanda, our employees reflect our culture of treating all people with dignity and respect, and if we aren’t doing that, we aren’t doing our job. We’re looking into it now.”

Well now, Towanda is defending Toni B. and denying her sister’s had any plastic surgery at all. According to Towanda, Toni’s slimmer nose looked that way because of her Lupus disease. Here’s what she said when asked if her big sis’ had surgery on her nose:

Towanda:”Nooo! Toni has Lupus. So when you’re on Lupus, you take steroids and with the steroids…it fluctuates your weight. Sometimes she has to be on steroids and sometimes she has to be off of steroids. So it fluctuates her weight. And because she has Lupus, she can’t have anything foreign in her body. So Toni can’t get, like Botox, she can’t get any of that because it’s synthetic. Anything synthetic can make her sick.”

She continued:

“You know what? I think that people should do their research…they should research different diseases, you know. ‘Cause Lupus is no joke.” …] People are gonna talk about you, whether you do good or bad, but you now…she’s 50 years old and looks amazing. People just can’t understand how she’s 50 ands she looks so amazing.”

Towanda spoke her mind, didn’t she? Respect to her for that.

I also took Towanda’s advice and did a lil’ research on Lupus. According to many plastic surgeons, people with Lupus can, in fact, get nose jobs, Botox, and other fillers. The plastic surgeons also stated that Lupus does not automatically disqualify one from having types of those procedures, which many Lupus patients have gotten.

Now, I luhhs me some Towanda Braxton, Lawd knows I do *in my “Ms. Sofia” voice.*  However, I have to be real. She could very well be telling the truth about Toni not having a new nose job, but her explanation about Toni’s Lupus hindering her from plastic surgery, may make some fans give her the side eye. That is, if they also take her advice and do some quick research of their own.

Anywho, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- new nose, or no new nose, I’m just happy that Toni Braxton is happy. And besides, as long as her soon to be husband, Birdman, likes it, then that’s all the “respeck on her name” Toni will ever need.

It’s been a crazy few days for singer, Tamar Braxton. First it was the online backlash she got from Xscape singer, Tiny’s, mother over her goddaughter (Tiny and T.I.’s baby, Heiress). Now it’s a few Braxton family members who have stepped up to blast her online for her actions.

In particular we’re talking about Tamar’s sister, Traci Braxton’s; Traci’s son, Kevin; and their niece; and her sister, Towanda.

Let’s start with Traci’s son and niece first.

Sunday, April 2 (2017) was Traci’s birthday and in posts that have since been deleted, there was a family battle going on. In true Braxton family fashion, many of the family showed Traci a lot of birthday love on social media. The day seemed all good for Traci, until Tamar posted her b-day tribute, followed by a second post that appeared to be shade toward Traci and that is what got Traci’s son and niece fired up.

Tamar’s first post read:

Tamar’s very next post read something a lil’ different that appeared to be a classic shade-filled response that she’s oftentimes known to throw. She posted a photo of herself with the caption:

Traci’s son commented underneath Tamar’s post second, telling her “Low key petty af Aunty SMH.” Check it out below…

Later on Tamar posted a different birthday post to address the backlash from not only her niece nephew, but also from her IG fans (which is probably also why she disabled the comment feature under this post)…

Some may not agree with me on this and that’s understandable, but I think when it comes to family issues, a good ol’ fashioned phone call should suffice. Tamar’s niece and nephew should have kept their clap backs to their aunt off of social media…and I also think Tamar should stop throwing shade at people and denying it minutes later. Moving on…

Towanda Voices Issues With Tamar’s Miscarriage Claim

Towanda Braxton was very upset with her sister Tamar over her recent complaints about the sisters and she let her Twitter fingers do the talking.

I didn’t catch their show, but apparently Tamar must have taken aim at all of her sisters on a recent episode of The Braxton Family Values, for not being there for her during her ‘incident’ with husband, Vince…nor her miscarriage no one (including the sisters) knew about. Towanda reacted to Tamar on Twitter…

In case you’re not familiar with their marriage history (or maybe it was their odd way of showing public displays of affection…who know?) here’s a brief recap for you. In 2011 we witnessed Andre tell his wife on national TV that he loved her, but didn’t like her, just like he doesn’t like his Momma. Towanda described their relationship as roommates at that time. By the time 2014 rolled around, Towanda was on The Wendy Williams Show stating that she and Andre had an ‘open marriage.’

Andre’s lack of job security was another straining issue on their marriage. You see, Andre is an author, but Towanda once said that the only problem with that was he wasn’t selling any books. However, he was enjoying staying at home writing them though, while Towanda brought home the bread- something she did not appreciate.

The best part of their relationship was their two wonderful children, Braxton (11) and Brooke (10), whom they both actively raise…

Their Divorce Settlement Details

Now, according to Bossip, Towanda and Andre’s divorce demands are out. The details have surprised many because through all of the bickering we’ve seen between them, their divorce demands have got to be one of the most grown folks divorce settlements ever.

Basically, all both sides seem to want is a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. See what we mean below:
It’s being reported that the divorce record indicates that Towanda earns three times what Andre does. Her $8,000 per month ($96K a year) versus his $2500 per month ($30k per year). Yet Andre wants zero support in the settlement.

They’ll just will walk away from the marriage with their own possessions and will not demand spousal, nor child support from the other. Their individual 401 K’s and bank accounts will remain untapped by each other as well.

Andre- who represented himself in court- also agreed with Towanda on the joint custody they’ll share of their kids. But if they cannot find a common ground in decisions regarding their children’s religion, education, and extracurricular activities, then Towanda gets to lay down the law with her final say.

What Towanda and Andre do want though, is for both sides to shut the hell up when it comes to talking smack about each other:

“Each shall refrain from conduct which does or may undermine a positive relationship between each child and the other parent,” their divorce deal, which was signed by both Carter and Braxton, read.

So in other words, their divorce could simply read like this: ‘As long as you mind your business, I’ll mind mine. Just don’t harm our kids and don’t say anything bad about me on the show, nor to the press. Now peace out, it was nice being married to you.’

Ahhh..if only other celebrity divorces could end so amicably. Mary J. might be probably somewhere reading this thinking ‘Damn, I wish Kendu would take notes from this.’
