Tiffany Haddish Exposes Angry Chat With Sanaa Lathan’s Famous Dad After Beyonce Bite

Posted On : June 13, 2018

Although Beyonce’s step-dad/actor, Richard Lawson, accused comedic actress, Tiffany Haddish, of lying about Beyonce’ being bitten in the face by an actress, Tiffany has now let the whole cat outta the bag! In her latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter, of course Tiffany was asked about the infamous Beyonce-bite-gate scandal. Now, “The Last O.G.” star is not only sticking to her original claim, but for the first time ever she has just revealed what Sanaa Lathan’s dad and step-mom did to her after she outed Sanaa for the incident.

Sanaa Lathan’s Parents Went Off On Haddish?

In case y’all didn’t know, Sanaa Lathan’s pops is a legend in the entertainment game. He’s executive produced and/or directed countless hit shows and series throughout the years, including “Def Comedy Jams,” Dave Chappelle’s recent Netflix specials, Kevin Hart’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” “Sanford & Son”, “Hill Street Blues,” “Sesame Street” and many more.

What many also didn’t know, is that Tiffany Haddish is really cool with Stan (pictured below with daughter, Sanaa) and his wife, Marguerite (Sanaa’s stepmom, pictured below). That’s why they reportedly wasted no time giving her a piece of their minds after she indirectly outed Sanaa as the Beyonce biter:

“I’m super good friends with her [Sanaa Lathan’s] stepmom and her dad [Stan, a producer-director], and they were mad at me,” Haddish said, smiling to confirm Lathan was indeed the perpetrator. “They were like, ‘Why would you do this to the family? You know, Black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it’s so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?’ But I didn’t try to ruin her career. I never said her name!” Haddish insisted. “I was just trying to say how Beyonce kept me from goin’ to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down.” -via TooFab

Sanaa’s Prior Denial

As we previously reported, Tiffany never mentioned the actress’ name at the time of her biting reveal a few months ago. However, fans quickly figured out it was reportedly Sanaa Lathan. Therefore, Sanaa did damage control, in a May interview with Health Magazine, and denied the claims that she was the biter who was high at the celebrity event and pissed Beyonce off:

Via Too Fab: “Yeah, it blew up. And I think it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever been involved with,” [Sanaa] Lathan said. “Thank God I’ve been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumors about me. They used to devastate me in my 20s, but in order to survive in this business, you just have to let it roll. I adore Beyonce. I would never do anything malicious like that — to her, or to anyone. It’s so bizarre. I thought it was the funniest thing ever that it was a news story. It’s so crazy.”

Recap Of Tiffany Haddish’s Claims

In case you’ve been out of the loop about Haddish’s revelations, here’s a quick recap. In a GQ magazine interview, Tiffany recalled meeting Bey and Jay-Z in December 2017. She explained that Bey’ walked up to her, introduced herself and they had a cool convo’…then this happened:

“There was this actress there,…that’s just, like, doing the mostest. … She bit Beyoncé in the face.” Haddish declines to name the actress. “So Beyoncé stormed away…went up to Jay-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This b*tch—’ and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this bitch just bit Beyoncé?’ […]

“Near the end of the party…Beyoncé’s at the bar, so I said to Beyoncé, ‘Did she really bite you?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her a$$ beat tonight.’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don’t do that. That b*tch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The b*tch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.’ ”

Even though Tiffany never named the actress she was referring to at that time, she has now confirmed it.
