Toni Braxton Spills Details About Her & Birdman’s Upcoming Lavish Wedding
For months, there have been rumors about Toni Braxton and Birdman’s relationship. Initially, there were rumors about whether or not they were really dating. Not long after the relationship was confirmed, there was talk of possible wedding bells. Although Toni and Birdman made it clear they hadn’t secretly tied the knot, the truth is they do plan to marry and the wedding plans are underway. Now, Toni is finally speaking out about the wedding.
The Great Gatsby:
If fans know Toni and Birdman, it probably comes as no surprise that their wedding is gonna be a blown out #1 Stunna type of lavish event. While many fans have admitted they fail to see what Toni and Birdman have in common, the truth is they both have a love for extravagance and the finer things in life. So it’s probably safe to say their wedding just may be one for the books. Reports suggest the wedding will be a “Great Gatsby”-themed event, but will that really be the case? Well, Toni did mention it on “Braxton Family Values,” so you can probably bank on it, reports Page Six. During an interview with People magazine, Toni Braxton also shared a few other details about the upcoming wedding:
“This is my second wedding, and I’m over 40,” Toni B. stated. “It’s like Carrie Bradshaw, the last bride. It’ll be elegant and a little sexy.”
So In Love:
Initially, Toni and Birdman remained silent about their relationship, but lately, the two have been more open about it. Since the truth is out, apparently, there’s no need to deny their May-December love. Both have publicly spoke about their love for each other and while it still comes as a surprise to many, it’s obvious Toni and Birdman are the real deal. For those who don’t know, the pair has been close friends for years. During a previous interview with Ebony, the “Breathe Again” singer gushed about the man in her life:
“We’ve been friends forever. We were friends who realized, ‘Wow, we really care for each other,’ Braxton revealed. “I don’t think we ever expected this to turn into a relationship, he was just my buddy. He’d show me support, he’d come to see me in my plays, it was really a friendship that became something more.”
Although Toni had previously admitted neither of them planned to move out of the ‘friend zone,’ she revealed when the turning point occurred. When she was faced health complications from Lupus in 2016, Birdman promised he’d stay by her side and he’s been there every step of the way. “Every day I had a show, he came,” revealed Toni.
However, she isn’t the only one talkin.’ Birdman also decided to get the business clear, when he appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show”:
“We not married … as of yet,” Birdman told Wendy. “That’s my girl, my friend, my family,” the Cash Money CEO said. “That’s my love, my soldier, my life. She my everything … She my life. I love her to death.”

Of course, Wendy admitted she didn’t think the relationship was real, Birdman set her straight real quick. “It was hard to accept their loving me at first,” he said. “But I eventually got over it.” He added, “I’m just a gangsta. That don’t mean anything. Certified, too. What that gotta do with love?”
The couple still hasn’t announced a wedding date for the big day, but there’s speculation that it’s much sooner than later. Congratulations to Toni Braxton and Birdman!
