ILOSM family we wanted to shed some light on this very sad situation surrounding the mysterious murder of the father of “Dead Presidents” movie star, N’Bushe Wright. As far as we know, this case is still unsolved, so hopefully keeping the awareness about this case going, may possibly help the Wright family get answers about what happened to the their loved one. After he was missing for a week, N’Bushe’s father, who was also a known jazz musician by the name of Stanley Wright (also known as Suleiman-Hakim) was tragically killed under very mysterious circumstances in May of 2011. His body was found stuffed in a storage trunk inside of his basement in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.

This is another reminder that tragedy, pain, grief, and heartache does not exclude based on social status, fame, nor success and it’s also a reminder that we should all hug and kiss those we love every chance we get, because we never know when that might our last chance to do so.

After having gone missing for a few days, it was reported that N’Bushe’s father, Stanley Wright, was found deceased by his son, Khalil, in the early morning hours inside his home located in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. His son called the police and what they’d found were reported by New York Daily News. Below are the tragic details surrounding the brutal murder of N’Bushe’s dad/ jazz musician, Stanley Wright.
Signs OF Foul Play:

Via New York Daily News- The trunk was in the basement, where a back window had been shattered. The home was in disarray. Wright’s gray Jeep was missing. “This is crazy?” said his great-niece, Minnie Wright. “Who would do something like that to him? He was a musician. He was a great man.”

Stanley Wright’s music students adored him:
The talented jazzman also shared his gifts. He once taught music at a Brooklyn public school and, up until his disappearance, gave children music lessons at the generous rate of $10 a pop.

One of his students rode his bike over to Wright’s house yesterday – unaware of the horror that had befallen his musical mentor. “I still don’t believe it could happen,” Rogerst Charles, 20, said, clutching his alto saxophone. He had come by for a jam session. “I would come randomly and just jam with him. He’d help me bring a song further along,” Charles said, a look of shock on his face. “Every time I came by he’d teach me a new song. It was never about money.

How N’Bushe’s Father Was Found:

His body was still in the trunk as police carried it out of his Chauncey St. home. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy today to determine how he died, officials said. The old black trunk that held Wright’s body made his death that much more painful for his loved ones. “That was my mother’s trunk,” said Wright’s sister, Teresa Wright, 63. “A lot of her stuff used to be in there – clothes, stuff like that.”

More suspicions and clues their family and loved ones tried to decipher at that time:

There was a park directly behind his home that could have given an intruder easy access to his basement.

After he had not been heard from for a few days, his niece stopped by the house Saturday to check on him. The door was unlocked, and the home was messy, Adrienne Wright said. “I called his name. I didn’t hear nothing,” she said, adding that she did not call the police.

His sister, Teresa Wright, believes he was killed by someone he knew. “I can’t think of who would do anything like this to my brother,” his sister said. “His door is always locked.”

Although Wright’s car was gone, his family said several expensive musical instruments were still in the home.

A stunned neighbor, Wanda Daniels, recounted how Wright generously gave piano lessons to her two young daughters for just $10. “He was very particular about who he dealt with and invited inside his home,” said Daniels. “He’s always been a good person.”

They say that what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger and as far as we know, the murder of N’Bushe’s father was never solved, but we sincerely hope that she and the rest of her family and loved ones have been able to heal from this horrific tragedy.
