Lately, Tyrese has been labeled an emotional wreck with his outbursts and emotional meltdowns on social media. To most fans, it seems Tyrese just hasn’t been himself but his latest confession about a scuffle that happened on the set of a movie will probably make you wonder if the singer/actor has always been this way. With the evolution of social media, fans are now able to see more than just a small glimpse of Tyrese’s life because he has the ability to hop online and upload reckless posts but his fist fight with James Franco will likely have you wondering.

The Fist Fight:

During an interview, Tyrese turned heads when he decided to spill the tea about a knockdown, drag-out fight he had on the set of a movie. While filming Annapolis in 2006, he and James Franco had a run in that ultimately ended with a fist fight:

“Actually, I didn’t get along with James Franco, but that’s some other sh**. We fought. We actually got in a full-on fight. It was a situation. They had to shut down production for a whole day. That sh** was crazy.”

Acting On Impulse Again?:

In addition to the fight with James Franco, Tyrese also talked about another heated encounter with a co-star. He went on to discuss all the drama surrounding his social media feud with The Rock. Lookin’ back on the situation now, Tyrese had to admit that his actions were totally unprofessional:

“I found myself being the messenger on behalf of various people associated to the franchise, but stupid me was the only one who went public about those feelings, which is my own fault. It’s not professional, it’s not cool.”

Tyrese even admitted that he probably blew the situation way out of proportion as many social media users pointed out when he was going off on The Rock. To make matters worse, Tyrese even admitted that The Rock didn’t really say anything to garner the type of reaction he gave him. He said:

“I don’t really recall anything that [Johnson] either said directly or subliminally being as big a deal as the way I was going at him which was not cool.  There’s a way of going about communicating and dealing with issues. There’s issues on all movie sets and TV shows. I do regret those psych meds and letting that stuff influence me. It’s like being drunk, you gotta say exactly how you feel and you’re not in your right state of mind.”

No Words To Say:

So with all that Tyrese has said, will it change things between him and The Rock? Well, apparently, The Rock still has very little to say about Tyrese’s actions. When he appeared on Watch What Happens last week, he was asked about his fallout with Tyrese and he admitted the whole situation was quite disappointing and insisted it was as one-sided as Tyrese now says it was. He also revealed they still hadn’t talked hashed things out:

“No, we haven’t talked at all. That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I’d been friends with Tyrese for a very long time. I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it. It was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media and apparently, he was going through some stuff too in his personal life, but no, we haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would. To me, there’s no need to have a conversation.”

Best of luck to Tyrese and The Rock. Although Tyrese might wanna slow down, before he ends up with that “hard-to-work-with” label that has destroyed so many other careers in Hollywood.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
