Usher’s Mansion Burglarized & Estranged Wife Calls Cops
It’s probably say to say that the past year, or so, ain’t been too kind to Usher. From the herpes scandal, to his wife’s newly filed divorce docs, the brotha just can’t seem to catch a break. But like the old schoolers used to say back in the day, ‘trouble comes in three’s’ and if that holds any truth, Usher just learned it the hard way, because this recent robbery would be his third major ordeal in a row.
Thieves Make A Get-away, Leave Clues
News has just surfaced that Usher’s L.A. mansion was burglarized for a whopping $820,000 worth of jewelry and cash (and also Usher’s home security cameras, go figure). The job was done by some greedy thieves, who apparently did a slightly sloppy job covering their tracks…literally. Nope, we’re not referring to hair weave tracks, but rather the tracks they left from their shoes and hands, among other things. Those are some of the clues Usher’s soon-to-be-ex-wife, Grace Miguel, reportedly told cops their housekeeper noticed following the burglary.
Usher’s housekeeper was the one who alerted Miguel about the burglary, because she was not there when it happened, nor immediately afterwards.
According to reports, the burglars probably thought they’d made a clean get-away for about a week after the robbery, because no red flags were raised after they’d broken into the home on March 29, 2018. However, if they’re reading the many reports that have just come out regarding the findings that Miguel told the cops, they should be shaking in their boots right about now. Check out the details below:
Via TheBlast: The housekeeper told Miguel that when she arrived at the home that morning, she “discovered a footprint on the second floor, a handprint on the pillow in the lower floor, and the curtains to the lower floor window were open.” According to Miguel, when the housekeeper went to check the recording box where the security camera footage was kept, “she noticed that the recording box was missing and connecting wires were cut.”
Then came another shocker, Grace called up Usher to tell him about the burglary and he must’ve informed her to go check his nightstand for a box of cash he had in there, $20,000 to be exact. As you can imagine, lo and behold, those 20 stacks had done a disappearing act as well. There’s more though:
Via TB: Miguel told police she believed the thieves must have unlocked a window in the home during a recent open house (the house is currently on the market). She said she had reached out to the realtor to get a list of people who had been to the open house and would turn it over to police when she had it. In the report, Miguel said she believed the thieves had stolen the jewelry earlier in the week and then returned to get the security footage.
Miguel told police that the week before, the housekeeper had noticed one of Usher’s rings was missing but she just assumed it was with him. A few days later, the housekeeper noticed the jewelry was missing as well, but again assumed Usher had it.
Damn, those thieves were bold as hell, right? They actually had the nerve to go back to that man’s crib a SECOND time and still didn’t completely cover their tracks.
All in all, the burglars stole six watches, one of which was worth $220,000, as well as a rose gold Jesus chain worth $200,000. And again, the total price tag of what Usher was jacked out of, is $820K!
There has been a string of celebrity home burglaries in L.A. in recent months. Hopefully, authorities will catch whoever robbed Usher’s home soon.
