In this new digital social media era we’re in, artists are taking back their control, putting their destiny back into their own hands and placing the power back into the hands of the people, while simultaneously snatching it away from the big corporate media machines. When you have artists like Erykah Badu who has sold over 6 million albums, Tyrese who has sold over 2 million records, and Brandy who’s sold over 40 million records, being able to put the power in the people’s hands, where it should have been in the first place, we are definitely living in a new day and age. Our only hope is that more artists begin to have the courage to do the same.
