Video Footage Of Nipsey Hussle’s Murder Surfaces As Cops Scramble To Locate Suspect
As we all continue to mourn the death of rapper, Nipsey Hussle (33), who was gunned down on Sunday (March 31) by an unidentified suspect, surveillance video of the shooting has now surfaced and it is heartbreaking to watch.
It has just been reported by TMZ, that a surveillance camera of a business adjacent to Nipsey’s store, captured the terrifying scene as it unfolded. The shooting occurred in broad daylight, in front of Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing Store. There were several witnesses on the scene at the time, and most of them ran for their lives as the shooting took place.
In the video, a person in a red shirt can be seen entering into the left side of the camera’s view, as they walked toward the front entrance of Nipsey’s store. Though it’s difficult to see a clear shot of the actual shooting itself, what is clear is that one person is seen collapsing to the ground, while several other witnesses are seen fleeing the scene. As was previously reported, Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed, while two other victims were shot, but reportedly survived.
In addition to this chilling video surveillance, an unidentified man went on Instagram Live shortly after Sunday’s shooting, claiming responsibility for Nipsey Hussle’s murder. According to the man, he approached Nipsey, asked him where he was from, and then shot him. It is still unclear if that man is the actual suspect police say they have ID’d and are currently on the hunt for.
Police are saying the shooting appears to be gang related. However, many of Nipsey’s supporters believe there is more to this story. Also, Nipsey had ironically ‘planned to meet with LAPD’s police chief and commissioner on Monday afternoon to discuss a plan to prevent gang violence,’ according to TMZ.
It’s SO sad to see a brotha like Nipsey Hussle -who was doing so much to help his community- be taken away from his two children; the love of his life/actress, Lauren London; and all of his family and friends for what thus far appears to be a senseless act of violence.
