Teyana Taylor is a celebrity in her own right, but when it comes to her own idol, she’s a big fan just like the rest of us. When the singer/actress received a FaceTime call from Janet Jackson, she was ecstatic and even shared the big moment on social media. However, Teyana’s fan story wasn’t exactly a dream come true, initially. Her meeting with Janet was actually the result of a delayed flight.
A Missed Opportunity:
Unfortunately, Teyana accidentally missed Janet’s State of the World concert in Milwaukee due to a delayed flight but luckily the delay was not a denial. In fact, missing the concert actually worked in Teyana’s favor because she ended up getting a personal call from Miss Jackson, herself.
But the fond moments didn’t stop there. Teyana also had the privilege of meeting her idol and the memorable moment was exactly as you’d expect.
Meeting Janet For The First Time:
According to The Grio, Teyana still wanted the opportunity to meet Janet face-to-face, and she finally got the chance when Janet stopped in Detroit for a State of the World concert. After the concert, Teyana met Janet backstage and snapped it up for the camera. The two also exchanged loving embrace and of course, a proud Teyana shared photos on social media. Based on the captions, it’s quite obvious she was starstruck and absolutely thrilled about meeting her idol.
