Wait What?!? Who’s Album Is Better Than Thriller?

Michael JacskonWe respect Chris’ opinion and we think Kanye is a good artist, but MJ he is far from and we even think he would agree to that. That roundtable also included some of the best Hip-Hop journalists and icons, including Angie Martinez and Ed Lover, debating who’s the best rapper of all-time.

Could Chris have these nice words about Kanye’s album because he was featured on the album for the track “Devil In A New Dress” which is does a weird comedy sketch?

Rock took his love for Kanye’s album a step further, saying, “Kanye’s the best.” He further said, “He might be the only guy that did party records that make you think. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘s probably the best piece of music made in the last 25, 30 years. It’s better than Thriller.… There’s no ‘Baby Be Mine’ on that record!” This is in reference to the only song on Michael’s album that wasn’t really played on the radio from the Thriller album. He added that he likes “Runaway” and “All of the Lights” more than he likes listening to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” and “Billie Jean.”

Here’s what the Rolling Stone Magazine said about Kanye’s album just before its release. “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is his most maniacally inspired music yet, coasting on heroic levels of dementia, pimping on top of Mount Olympus. Nobody halfway sane could have made this album.”

Michael Jackson ThrillerHere is a fair comparison of Kanye’s album and Michael Jackson’s album. Kanye won one Grammy “Best Rap Album”. Michael won a record 8 Grammys for his album. Kanye sold just over one million copies making it a platinum album according to RIAA (Record Industry Association of America). Michael’s THRILLER album as of today sold nearly 50 million copies. About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
