Well Wishes: Monica Details 8 Hour Surgery For Her Serious Medical Condition

Posted On : June 18, 2017

Singer, Monica Brown, has just revealed that she had to undergo a very extensive surgery the other day, one that took eight hours to complete. She took to Instagram on Saturday (June 18, 2017) to reveal to her fans that two weeks prior to her recent surgery, she discovered that she had endometriosis.

Endometriosis, as described by MayoCliniic, ‘is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond pelvic organs.’

Monica’s Explanation Of Her Extensive Surgery Procedure

After Monica found out she has the condition, she quickly scheduled her surgery and thankfully had a successful one. Here is what she posted on Instagram:

monicabrown: In life we have to count it all joy and know the unplanned may be in his plan💓May 30th I had an almost 8 hour surgery to remove my endometriosis (which I didn’t know I had until two weeks prior) , 2 cysts, fibroids & a hernia that all were making me very sick…I’ve known something was wrong but I also knew victory & better health would be near again!! Thank you Dr. Ceana Nezhat & Northside Hospital Staff #RoadToRecovery #CountItAllJoy #ALLSMILESALLTHEWAY

We wish her a speedy recovery. One thing’s for sure, if you follow Monica on Instagram, then you know she’s all about her family- her husband/NBA’er, Shannon Brown, and her three kids- Laiyah Brown, and her two sons from a previous relationship, Romelo Hill and Rodney Hill. So she’s clearly surrounded by a lotta love to keep her morale all way up as she heals.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
