In 2012, T-Boz shared chopped it up with Larry King about her plans to adopt a son. While she had expressed interest to adopt a child for years, after the devastation that occurred in Haiti, T-Boz decided to adopt a child from Haiti after many children were left without parents.

An adoption specialist revealed that T-Boz, whose real name is Tionne Watkins, would face difficulty trying to adopt a child from Haiti, however, she would have more success adopting an African-American child from America.

In 2015, while testifying against TLC’s former manager, Perri “Pebbles” Reid, in court, she mentioned that she was in the process of adopting a child.
