Will Smith Says Marriage To Jada Is “Grueling & Excruciating,” Details…

will smith and jadaWill Smith spoke to Entertainment Tonight yesterday (11-24-2015) while promoting his new film, Concussion, and he dished a few secrets about his marriage to Jada Pinkett-Smith that many of us never knew. Will’s initial explanation of his marriage to his Queen took some folks by surprise, but it made a lot of sense to us.

When Will was asked about how he and Jada managed to stay married for 20 years, he said:

“’You can’t expect it to be easy. It’s like our marriage was the most difficult, grueling, excruciating thing that we have ever taken on in our lives. And you know we’re just not quitters.

If there is a secret I would say it is that we never went into working on our relationship, we only ever worked on ourselves individually, and then presented ourselves to one another better than we were previously.”

will smith and jada3That is probably one of the most logical and practical methods to working on a marriage that we’ve ever heard, because the bottom line is that we simply can’t be great spouses/partners if we are not genuinely in a great space with ourselves as first. Will and Jada need to write a book about ‘how to stay married when your spouse is too excruciating and grueling to tolerate’…they’d probably sell out in the first day.

We wish them much continued marriage success and major respect to them for being able to last 20 years so far, which is more like a century in Hollywood.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
