Women Are Angry After Steve Harvey’s Comment To Tamar About Women

Posted On : March 31, 2018

By now, everyone has seen Tamar Braxton’s new haircut. For those who missed the details, the Braxton Family Values star decided to shave her head and she admitted it was a very liberating experience for her because she’d compromised herself in various ways to accommodate her husband, Vince Herbert, throughout their marriage. According to BET, Tamar recently appeared on The Steve Harvey Show where she discussed marriage and relationships. The famed singer/reality star touched on a very controversial topic and Steve Harvey’s response has sparked a relatively heated debate.

Pleasin’ Your Man:

During the discussion with Steve, Tamar opened up about a few tweaks she made to enhance her physical appearance to become more appealing for her husband. Apparently, Vince Herbert has a thing for blonde hair. So, not only did Tamar accommodate, she admitted she’s collected more than 150,000 blonde wigs over the course of their relationship. The singer also explained why she went to such great lengths to please her man. “I believe in that, though. I believe in being attractive for your mate,” Tamar confessed. “I used to have all blonde wigs. I still have 150,000 of them at my house since I done shaved my [hair] off.” She continued, ““Vince liked blonde head, light, fair women,” she continued. “And I just wasn’t born with no blonde hair. But for me, I think that’s a responsibility that women have, is to stay current for your man.”

Steve Chimes In:

Although Tamar had a similar perspective when it came to her opinion of pleasing her man, tons of people definitely weren’t happy with Steve’s take. The two basically said the same thing but Steve’s brash approach definitely rubbed fans the wrong way. In a nutshell, Steve believes his woman should be ever-accommodating in many aspects of the relationship, especially when it comes to her looks. Then, he went a step further arguing that a man will step outside of the relationship if he doesn’t like what he’s seeing at home.

Dragged To Hell:

Needless to say, Steve’s words sparked a heated debate and battle of the sexes on social media. Many viewers wasted no time criticizing Steve. To man fans, Steve’s words also raise questions about whether or not he understands the true meaning of unconditional love.

“Steve is wrong. A real man don’t care about that shit. A real man will love his woman no matter what. He doesn’t need her to do all that to please him. If he does, all you are is a trophy to him. Nothing more. A man who’s in love with a woman will stop her immediately and tell her that she’s beautiful the way she is. He has no eyes for any other woman but her. Besides, no matter how she looks, a real man in love will ALWAYS get turned on even without his woman needing to try to dress up or do anything like that. Throw on some sweatpants and a t-shirt and he’ll still find you sexy,” one woman said via Facebook.

Another fan took to Instagram and criticized Steve for personal decisions he’s made that seem to prove he has a habit of being superficial. “He’s superficial he put the mother of his children in jail and left her for someone else and left her desolate,” the Instagram user said.

While there were others who actually understood where Steve was comin’ from, it still didn’t change the fact that his statement seemed a bit shady. Another fan said, “I can understand what @iamsteveharveytv is saying….but it shouldn’t sway your Love & or commitments you have with your significant other, if it’s Strong!!! With or without make there is ALWAYS someone that looks better than who you’re in a ‘situationship’ period.”
