She is the wife of the late great Isaac Hayes! The man responsible for giving us so many soul hits we can’t even count.

His wife’s name is Adjowa Hayes and and she is Isaac’s fourth wife. Like we said, she’s from Ghana, Africa, which is where Isaac Hayes was crowned honorary king of the Ada, Ghana region in 1992 for his countless hours of humanitarian work in there. They have one son together, Nana Kwadjo Hayes, who was born on April 10, 2006. His name has a significant meaning: Nana means “King” and Kwadjo means “boy born on Monday.” The saddest part of it all is that Isaac only got to spend a little over two short years with his son (who is now 9 years old) before he tragically passed away from a stroke in October of 2008, just 10 days shy of his 66th birthday.

Nana was Isaac’s last born, making him child number 12 and overall Isaac had a total of 12 children, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Some of them have even followed in their Pops footsteps and are in the music industry.
