Kemp passed away on April 16, 2015. According to Jamaican police his body was found in the water of Montego Bay, Jamaica. He was scheduled to perform on Tom Joyner’s cruise as a surprise guest with for Teddy Riley’s ‘New Jack Swing’ tribute. Kemp was 55 at the time of his passing and police have stated that they think he may have been walking on some rocks, lost his balance, fell, hit his head and subsequently drowned. May he rest peacefully.

Whitney Houston’s and Bobby Brown’s baby passed away on July 26, 2015, after slipping into a coma, after being found faced down in her bath tub inside her Atlanta townhouse in February. She held own as best as she could for months, as her family and millions of well wishers around the world prayed for her and her family. Rest peacefully Bobbi Kris.’

This acting legend who is most notably known for his role as “Mr. Spock” in Star Trek, died on February 27, 2015 at the age of 83. He is survived by his son, daughter, and wife.

Gospel legend, Andrae Crouch, died on January 8, 2015. He suffered a heart attack on January 3rd and was hospitalized for five days at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, before succumbing to complications resulting from that previous heart attack. On the day that Crouch died, his twin sister, Sandra, released this statement: “Today my twin brother, womb-mate and best friend went home to be with the Lord. Please keep me, my family and our church family in your prayers. I tried to keep him here but God loved him best.” Crouch was 72 years young and will always be remembered as the “Father of modern gospel” for being the pioneer of the contemporary gospel music sound.

Percy left us with a song that will live on for many generations to come, “When A Man Loves A Woman,” one of the realest old school jams ever created. That song, along with his other classics, helped to earn him a slot in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. He passed away from liver cancer at his home in Baton Rouge, La. at the age of 72 on April 14, 2015. Percy has 12 children and a wife.

Meadowlark was one of the greatest Harlem Globetrotters to have EVER done it! He was with the Globetrotters for 22 years, from 1955 to 1980. After he played 16,000 games with the Globetrotters, he later became an actor and an ordained minister. Meadowlark passed away on December 27, 2015 at 83 years young and no cause of death has been announced. He has 10 children and was married at the time of his death.

Cynthia was one of the BADDEST trumpet players in the land! She is best known for being the trumpeter in the Sly and the Family Stone band and has played on many of their hits, including “Dance To The Music” and “Family Affair.” She passed away at the age of 72 from cancer. She has two daughters.

Allen ToussaintAllen Toussaint
Toussaint is a jazz legend who hailed from New Orleans, La. He had many hits, including “Yes We Can Can” and he produced the 70’s group, LaBelle’s, infamous 70’s classic, “Lady Marmalade.” President Obama awarded him with the National Medal Of Arts in 2013. Toussaint passed away on November 10, 2015 in Madrid, Spain, shortly after performing a live concert there. He was 77.
