R&B legend, Al B. Sure, is counting his blessings at this time, following his successful surgery. As always, he’s keeping his fans in the loop every step of the way, as he heals. He’s also thanking two of his close homies- newlyweds, Faith Evans and Stevie J. (Yep, we said ‘newlyweds for those who missed that bombshell on Wednesday).

Al B Sure Shows Recovery Footage

As we previously reported Al B had to undergo surgery for an unspecified reason and he shared this at that time:

Fast forward to now and Al B. Sure took to Instagram to document his recovery process, while still in the hospital. He was still a tad bit high off anesthesia and whatnot, but as he celebrates his 50th year of life, he’s on a mission to encourage others to take care of themselves.

In the videos below (swipe left to see all 3 of them), Al B.’s nurse helped him get up and get at it, soon after his surgery, as he slowly walked down the hospital hallway on his own.

The pain was evident, but he pushed through and captioned his post with this message:

“1st and foremost, A very humble #ThankYou for the thoughts, prayers #LoveandLight you’ve shined upon my family, my life, Our Art, my #AlBeez & even the adversaries to #StraightenUpandFlyRight. Sharing an update with you. Here the #OG is standing up and walkingright out of surgery. Still groggy & a little wobbly from the anesthesia but it’s mandatory to “Get up & Walk” after being down for any reason under the gun. Pay close attention to who’s with you in both life circumstances and move forward accordingly. Stop expecting new results without changing the same repeated behavior and actions. Al B Sure Thanks Stevie J & Faith For Their Support

These days, Faith and Stevie J (real name Stevie Jordan) are just fool of surprises. Not only did they shock the world with their quickie wedding in a Las Vegas hotel room the other day, they have pleasantly surprised Al B. with a WhatsApp call. According to Al B, the newlyweds called him up to offer words of encouragement as he heals. Get this though, they called right from Vegas, soon after saying “I do” just to check on their homie.

Unbeknownst to many, Al B Sure has been cool with both of them since waaaay back, so it was understandable why the new Mr. & Mrs. were thinking about him, even in the midst of their marital bliss.
