She gave us those R&B jams: “Mercedes Boy”, “Girlfriend,” “Giving You The Benefit,” and so many more in the late 80s and early 90s. She’s none-other than PEBBLES. Today she is currently a minister going by the name “Sister Perri”, yep you read that right, Pebbles is preaching y’all!

So what’s she been up to? She’s been married five times. Her first marriage was after she became pregnant at 16 with her daughter, Ashley. Pebbles married Ashley’s father and as of today, two of her other marriages included her marriage to L.A. Reid and former Atlanta Braves star, Otis Nixon.

El DeBarge did the same thing, and he also confirmed that he had never even met Pebbles before.

Here are the tweets from Pebbles and El addressing that situation to a fan:

As you know, the 2013 TLC movie “CrazySexyCool” was VH-1’s biggest show. Because of the many allegations made in the movie against her, of which she says many were false, Pebbles filed her $40 million lawsuit against Viacom, the parent company of VH1 and she’s made public claims that she thinks Chili slept with her
