In a later interview with Vlad TV, D.L. Hughley explained the real reason why The Original Kings of Comedy were never able to give their fans what they wanted- a second tour.

According to D.L., he and his KOC brothas were initially “excited” about doing a second KOC Tour, but then the idea suddenly crashed n’ burned.

Unfortunately, it was due to the beef between Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey- apparently over their then booming commercial success. Though they had crazy love for each other, their feuding forever prevented them from seeing eye to eye regarding a second tour, but D.L. is just grateful for the memories:

“Essentially…Bernie felt like he didn’t wanna do it anymore, he was on his own path…and Steve. … I was disappointed, but I understood that those kinds of things happen and I…got the memory of being with those cats that I loved, making history, and putting our mark on the world.”
