For the longest, R. Kelly has been publicly claiming that he’s broke, and also blames Drea for part of that. Lately, his bank accounts appeared to have backed his claim, when it was reported that he had -$13 in one of them and barely enough to get by in another.
That’s why the question has now been raised as to how he seems to always find a way to ‘make a way out of no way,’ whenever he’s been stuck between a rock and a hard place over his child support payments. Well, his attorney has now attempted to explain where exactly the ‘broke’ R&B legend is coming up with his paper at the last minute for Drea Kelly:
Via TMZ: As for how exactly R. Kelly’s coming up with this kind of dough right when he needs it — when just a few months ago it seemed he was struggling — Greenberg tells us he assumes the singer’s rolling in the royalties, although he notes he’s not certain about that.
R. Kelly’s publicist, Darrell Green, also reportedly claims that they’ve been hustling to secure far more gigs for the “Bump N’ Grind” singer in the near future.
