Gayle King Gave Wendy Williams A Savage Response To Her Request For Tell-All Interview
According to the Daily Mail King isn’t interested in Wendy’s story. That really should come as no surprise since she’s very selective about the people she interviews. The savagery is relayed in what King gave as her reason for not wanting to be a part of Wendy’s tell-all.
Scandal-hit Williams has been shopping her salacious story around the major TV networks, including Oprah’s OWN, ABC and NBC, and wants a prime-time slot.
But DailyMail.com has learned King is the first big name to turn her down flat.
Network insiders claim 64-year-old King believes an interview with outspoken former radio host Williams, 54, could be perceived as too ‘trashy’ for morning television.
Wow! Tell ’em how you really feel Gayle! Anyway, King’s refusal could also be due to Wendy’s demands of having a longer interview. She’s seeking an hour-long interview and has reached out to many major networks. Most of them want nothing to do with her story, but she’s in luck. From The Daily Mail;
The source added: ‘GMA anchor Robin Roberts over at ABC seems the most keen, she reached out to Wendy in March when she announced she was staying in a sober house.
‘But nothing has been locked down yet, Wendy is keen to explore all her options, who knows which way it will go.’
Wendy has yet to respond to Gayle’s snub, but she may say something soon since this is Wendy after all. One thing’s for sure, there will be many folks tuned in to watch Wendy’s life become a hot topic for a change.
