Halle Berry Pays Special Attention To Black Reporters Ignored At Red Carpet Premiere
Halle Berry wasn’t about to let two Black reporters go unnoticed as they sought a quick interview during the John Wick III red carpet event. She noticed that staff tried to skip them.
Reportedly, Halle Berry came to a complete halt after two Black reporters were denied an interview with the actress, at the New York City premiere of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Berry, 52, walked along the red carpet alongside co-star Keanu Reeves to promote the third installment of the John Wick series.
Metro UK reports that Emerald Marie — a reporter from Where Is The Buzz TV — was on-scene alongside another reporter friend, Lamar. They wanted to chat with Halle about her new role as Sofia, so they were awaiting their turn amid other reporters.
However, when it came time for their questions, a member of Berry’s PR shut them down — “apologizing” while saying they’d run out of time.
“In a video clip of the moment, the publicist says: ‘Sorry guys we don’t have time. I’m so sorry.’ When Emerald asks if she and Lamar can instead do a group interview, the PR replies: ‘They don’t have time for anything because they’re already starting at the theater,’” Metro UK reports.
