Judge Denies Nelly Of What Some Say Is A ‘Fair’ Request Against His Sex Assault Accuser
Accuser’s Claims & Lawsuit Made Some Fans Give Her Side-Eye
A while back, we informed you all of a UK woman- going by the name Jane Doe- who filed a criminal sex assault case against Nelly. At that time, she was adamant that after his December 2017 concert in Essex, he’d forced his penis into her mouth and masturbated in front of her several times. Nelly spoke out immediately, denouncing the woman’s claims. His girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, also produced reported ‘receipts’ to prove that the woman’s timeline was inaccurate.
By April 2019, it was announced that Nelly will not be facing criminal charges, after Jane Doe suddenly stopped speaking with Essex police on the case. Why? Because Jane Doe’s attorney revealed they had plans to still get at Nelly another way:
Via TMZ: The accuser’s attorney, Karen Koehler, tells TMZ … “We told the Essex police we would no longer participate in their shoddy investigation and shifted our focus to the federal lawsuit where we will wait on the judge to decide that outcome.”
The switch-aroo, regarding the accuser’s legal plans, had fans wondering why Jane Doe is no longer concerned with fighting for her justice if she was supposedly ‘assaulted’…but is instead focusing on making Nelly pay up, presumably some big bucks. She also filed a lawsuit against Nellly’s girlfriend for bashing her claims on social media.
In response to Nelly’s latest request to reveal her identity, “Jane Doe stated, in court docs, that Nelly is ‘attempting to intimidate “his sexual assault victim into dropping her case by publicly “outing” her.”
