The other day, Amistad star, Djimon Hounsou, made headlines when he called out his ex/former model, Kimora Lee Simmons, for not allowing him to see their son, Kenzo (10), on Father’s Day…or any other day for that matter. It was a rare move for the typically ultra private Djimon and at the time, it seemed as though his frustration had finally pushed him to the breaking point. Now that the brotha has let the cat outta the bag, Kimora’s team has reportedly spoken out to shut his claims down, with a very different version of the story.

It’s just been reported that sources from within Kimora’s camp blame Djimon for not seeing Kenzo on Father’s Day or any other day, because they say he doesn’t make great effort to see him:

TMZ- We’re told Sunday’s missed opportunity to get together with the kid is just the latest in what we’re told has become common in their relationship … that Djimon allegedly doesn’t go out of his way to make plans.

Our sources — who are directly knowledgeable about this — tell us Kimora has an open door policy when it comes to visitation. We’re told she encourages the whole fam coming together as often as possible — holidays, birthdays, etc. — but Djimon hardly ever takes her up on it.

As we previously informed you all, when Djimon was recently asked, by paparazzi, how his Father’s Day went, he didn’t hide his frustration when he replied:

“Would have been nice to see my son for Father’s Day. It would have also been nice if I could see him to talk to him, right? Like all fathers, right?”

Asked when exactly was the last time he’d seen his son, Djimon said, “I can’t even recall myself. How ’bout that?” Later adding, that he’s not in a “custody battle” because “I’m not a lawyer’s office, am I?,” before giving a muted, frustrated smirk to the camera when asked about Kimora’s control over the situation.
