I’m not sure how accurate Morgan Carey’s claims are about his lil’ sis,’ so all I can say is that I certainly hope Mariah is in the best of health. If we get more confirmed details about Morgan’s claims, we will keep you posted, but until then, I’m looking forward to seeing Mariah performing and hitting those high notes that are reminiscent of our beloved Minnie Riperton.

In case you’re wondering who her brother is, here are a few quick facts about him:

  • He introduced her to her co-writing partner, Gavin Christopher.
  • Before she hit it big, he was the one shopping around her demo tape to the friends he had in the music industry such as Billy Idol, and Nona Hendryx (of Labelle) trying to land her a record deal.Mariah Carey once stated that “He was my hero growing up” about her brother Morgan, and she encouraged her fans to support his artist, Skull on Twitter.

  • Quo’s bodyguard who was handpicked by Morgan and featured in all three of their videos was the late actor, Michael Clarke Duncan (Green Mile).
